So much of schools "responding to rape" is preventing the legal system from doing so. This is a report on seven adults who committed serious felonies for which there is a legal system to remind them and their pals that they are felonies.

Reasons I'm done with the NFL: 1) Getting rid of a preseason game only to expand the regular season to 17 games. 2) Thinly-veiled racism towards minority coaches. 3) Failure to punish shitty players' abhorrent behavior. 4) Games not on Sunday. 5) the Lions forever being awful, like, why god why

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”

APStylebook @APStylebook

Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.

The optimal way is more diverse creative and editorial teams and that is happening, but I also feel we can all try to consider the fact that the average comics reader is no one kind of thing. Put the same effort into that that we do for, you know, someone’s tenth reboot at least, right?

May I be *too* real for a moment? I really enjoy working on anthologies bc I love the art that others create - being able to be a fractional part of their beauty makes me happy. I, on the other hand, have had a huge problem with hating the art *I alone* create. It's hard to create what you loath.
