Seeing the Kate Bush content was admirably covered by others, how about Let There Be Rock by AC/DC “Let there be sound, and there was sound Let there be light, and there was light Let there be drums, there was drums Let there be guitar, there was guitar Oh, let there be rock!”

I’m going to say all of Back in Black to shorten the list and add in For Those About to Rock and Thunderstruck. Johnson admirably took up vocals after Bonn Scott’s passing.

Message in a Bottle was the first Police song I heard. Was totally blown away by it and made me a fan. Walking on the Moon is also fantastic. Sensing a lunar theme on questions today. 😀

Man on the Moon is one of my favourites by R.E.M. I preferred their earlier music in general.

Probably their weakest album overall. Still ok but not great. Driven to Tears and When the World… are probably my favourites.

I’m choosing to look at this question in the context of trailblazers. I think Ann and Nancy Wilson opened up doors for women rockers. I think Kate Bush showed that women could be in control of their music and its production. Not a lot of other artists who sound like them though.

While I could probably give you 300, I’ll limit myself and won’t include any Kate Bush or Sisters of Mercy.😀 let’s go with: Camouflage by Stan Ridgway Forever Young by Alphaville Belfast Child by Simple Minds

Fantastic live album. Choosing favourite tracks is impossible. So many great songs. Exit Stage Left is equally good.

Of all the early Rush albums I could never really get into this one. Bastille Day is probably my favourite but prefer the live version. I always loved their science fiction and fantasy based songs but the Necromancer and the Fountain of Lamneth were meh.

Gotta admit I’m struggling with the transformative criterion. I can think of lots of albums that fit the other criteria but actually transforming the music industry is rare. The only one I can think of is Nevermind by Nirvana. Maybe Pretty Hate Machine by NIN
