Went about as well as I expected.

After too many years away…let’s see if I can actually complete my backlog of un-edited projects…. First up (for no real reason): “Sonic Sez: Live - Sonic Live!” - A Sonic Sez Live Panel.

Old: “War for the Planet of the Apes” (2017) Arguably the weakest in the trilogy…maybe, but still one of my favourite movies ever. Ceaser’s story comes full circle, and solidifies him as one of the greatest protagonists in cinema history. Just amazing work on every level.

020

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Old: “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” (2014) Kinda dumb name aside (Rise & Dawn are such interchangeable words, I often forget which movie is which) fucking PERFECT movie. No notes. Apes riding horses, shooting guns. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT? Forever cemented Matt Reeves as a top tier director.

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Old: “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (2011) Absolutely incredible movie, and start of (possibly) my favourite movie trilogy of all time. Everyone loves Gollum, but for me, that stupid goblin doesn’t come close to Caesar as a character. Andy Serkis deserved an Oscar for this (and both sequels)

Imma play more Project Reignition, so once it’s complete I never have to play Secret Rings ever again. Success question mark Twitch.tv/TheRealFTA

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

New: “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” (2007) Dumber than fuck. Not as amazingly enjoyable.

130

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

New: “National Treasure” (2004) Dumb as fuck. Amazingly enjoyable.

150

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Old: “Look Who’s Talking Now!” (1993) The dogs are dumb. I don’t hate this movie, even though I know I should. C-

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Old: “Look Who’s Talking Too” (1990) Just like the first one, watched this so much as a kid. I enjoy all the scenes with the kids. The parent storyline seems so rushed. Still enjoy it. Moving on.

110

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Old: “Look Who’s Talking” (1989) For some reason we had this on VHS when I was a kid, and would just watch it over and over. It’s charming, and I still enjoy it.

100

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Secret Rings is hands down the worst Sonic game ever made. Project Reignition is one of the best fan mods ever made. My brain hurts. Twitch.tv/TheRealFTA

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

New: “Creepshow” (1982) Watched this after a long night out, projected from a VHS tape. It’s so 80s, and not really scary at all, but it’s fascinating to watch, and makes me wanna check out the sequel. The segment with Leslie Neilson would make a great solo movie.

100

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

New: “Transformers” (Skybound) Absolutely amazing comic. Perfect place for new readers or people who only remember the old cartoon. IDW could get a little in the weeds with its lore sometimes. It’s original and nostalgic at the same time, fantastic art, and it’s relentless in its ongoing stakes.

120

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Old: “Rocky IV” The movie is 75% montages, old footage and music videos. One of the best movies to watch ever.

100

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Old: “Mega Man X” Absolutely classic game. Great reimagining of the Blue Bomber. Love the new moves, and how different each run can be, depending on the Maverick order. That being said……FUCK THAT STUPID OCTOPUS AND HIS DUMBASS LEVEL!!!

120

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Oh shit, I used to stream…. The Maverick Apocalypse is nigh. Only one Super Fighting Robot can save the day…..but, this ain’t your Daddies Mega Man. X. Twitch.tv/TheRealFTA

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

New: “Batman: Caped Crusader” season 2 Middling animation aside, this improves on season 1 in almost every way. This is easily my favourite Batman/Alfred relationship. Also, I can see why some people may not like this version of the Joker, I fucking loved it. It’s like an amazing movie.

150

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

New: “The Orville” As many have said, it’s like a modern day The Next Generation, but with dick jokes and purposely dumb dialogue. I love the sci-fi of it all, it really feels like classic Star Trek in the best way possible.

100

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Old: “Serenity” Recently rewatched ‘Firefly’ for the first time in years, and god damn I love this world. Sex pest creator aside, this is one of my favourite sci-fi movies. It’s a shame we never got a sequel.

100

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

New/Old: “Soul Reaver 1 Remastered” Loved this series/world since the original came out, but never finished it until now. Fantastic world building, scripting, voice acting, music etc Dated as fuck control scheme, too many block puzzles and meh bosses. Still, recommend this to everyone!

100

Gareth @therealfta.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

New: “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Already posted about this, but I had kinda written this off, as MCU Spidey has felt very bland and safe to me. I only saw this to see if it would be for Ben to see, and I loved it. If we can get more like this, then hell yeah!
