Whilst books can be available from other sources (such as libraries, and who doesn't love a library?!) - it can be more effective to have your own copy of a book. If you'd like to help future students like Oleksandr donate here www.readinglistfoundation.org
The scholarship has seen a great help ir easing tinancia pressures that come with university life. l've been able to buy key textbooks and materials for my accounting and finance course, which has made studying much easier and more effective.

💡 How it works You can help us in one of three ways: 👤 funding a Scholarship yourself 👥👥 getting together with family, friends, colleagues to fund a Group Scholarship 📚 or donating a smaller amount that will go to fund a book or books as part of a ‘Bookshelf Scholarship’. (1/4)

Our recent impact survey found (again) that for many scholarship winners the financial award is great but that it's often the recognition of their hard work that means a lot too.
"I felt really grateful that I'd been given so much help for my time at university. It made me feel like my hard work at
College had been recognised, which was a great feeling."

📚 Amelia, a recent scholarship award winner, appreciates the financial help as well as the confidence boost. Books - like so much - are expensive. Help us to help more students like Amelia that deserve the best start at University, visit our website www.readinglistfoundation.org
Quote from Amelia reads: "Being awarded the Scholarship meant a great deal to me. Not only did it reward my hard work and dedication to my A-levels, but it gave me a helping hand for university. Especially as books are so expensive."

This is why we all (us organising and you donating) do it...another two exceptional young people supported in their learning journey 👇 🙌
Screenshot of a LinkedIn post that reads "Recently I had the pleasure of presenting two reading list foundation scholarships to two exceptional young people who have overcome significant personal challenges to achieve in education and they are off to university this Autumn. I am so proud of them both and proud to have been a small part of their journey.
The right to an education is well understood as a universal human right, yet in the UK today, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds or those who have challenging circumstances can really struggle to access HE because student finance simply hasn't kept pace with the cost of living.
If you believe that every young person should have the opportunity to access education based on their ability and not the personal circumstances they have grown up with, please consider whether you could support a charity like The Reading List Foundation and others that work in this area. A little bit can make a huge difference."
