I think the expectation is to generate a rough and then refine the edges. It is similar to generating a base or references to refine later. I see where the conflict comes from. As a jr. Dev it can be detrimental. Imagine not needing to talk to an expert or senior dev to learn the business...

Sad to see the industry become this. There is always Requirement Elicitation, but using LLMs to write code is unreasonably fast. I think we'll lose domain knowledge (codebase, product features, its history), ability to reflect, and keep to enforcing design sensibilities at an organisational level.

Some other ideas Perch could have stayed in. Some included fishermen huts, thatched burrows dug into the ground.

Sketches based on pictures of river houses.

A page on house sketches. There is a small interior concept of a bedroom in the lower left. The room contains a circular mat, wardrobe, bed and table before a shutter window. On the right were small doodles for Perch's living in primitive structures in the wild: lean-tos and upturned boats.

Sketches of houses, I wanted to figure out what floor plans to work with. Settled on a single rectangular block. There is an interior shot figuring out where Perch's stuff will go. It'd be a very small house - room for one, and a small reception area.

Sketches of Perch's dwelling as a thatch roofed burrow. It'd end up looking like an earthen oven. I also envisioned his house to be on a tree lined riverbank, and was swinging between total seclusion, vs sharing the riverbank with a hotel on one side and a park on the other :D.

Perch gets a house! It is a house on the riverbank. His favourite weather is hot and humid. It's not a fit for everyone, so the river's cooler microclimate is perfect for friends to visit. #sketch #riverhouse #furry_art #furryart

Sketch Daily showed a picture of what seemed like a rebel holding a lit flare a top the stairs of a power station. I felt the energy there and wanted to draw it.

Trishaws were pretty common sight growing up. They carried people and goods around the tight city streets. There was even a song written in the 60s about a lad who takes one to *the* Central Market daily just to check out girls (and their newage fashion). Sketch for the #trishaw primarily

The other two quarters are made up of more shops. There is a green-roofed bakery, stable and the local art exhibit. On the other end of the train station is a church. It is based off a German Lutheran church in Melbourne. #TinyGlade

The town's first quarter follows the rail corridor. Tight, smaller housing, rougher around the edges. A pub in the corner, and more rowhouses up the hill. In a shaded arcade, fruits vendors beckon at passersby walking through to a little plaza. #TinyGlade

Built a town with a train station in #TinyGlade. First was to figure out how model the railway. I hoped to capture the feeling of old packed German townhouses. It took several months to complete this glade. Let's start with showcasing the station.

I have been playing a lot of #TinyGlade. There are just so many cool glades in both the Steam Community and on Bsky. I tried to make something Angkorian: all stone, high steeple towers and a deep square moat.

A square temple with four entrances, each a cardinal direction, each a path extending to the outer walls. These pass a gatehouse, and bridge over a moat and into the forest beyond. From all directions, the temple stands at the centre.

The path toward the temple first passes a wide moat which makes part of a larger irrigation network. An intimidating gate marks that you are passing into a sacred space.

The surrounding buildings maintain the temple complex. There is a house in the top left, raised on stilts, and a separate kitchen. The building in the bottom left is a library, keeping important scrolls and documents. The building in the top right is a hall to receive the public during religious events, and a smaller hall in the bottom right for more private gatherings.
