Makes good cake too, my mom's mom's mom's recipe. Hot applesauce + baking soda = POOF and instantly gets spongy.

Applesauce Cake
2 cups hot applesauce
1 egg
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 T(tbsp) cocoa
1 t(tsp) all kinds spice
2 t (baking) soda
3 1/2 cup flour
1 t vanilla
Heat applesauce and butter together, add soda then all other ingredients. Put in a greased and floured 9 x 13(inch) pan Oven at 350(°F), 30 to 35 mins.

Deer have been hanging by the trees every time I've gone
