I got excited about this at first, and even tested the photoshop copy. Things felt off, simple functions didn't quite work properly, the menus where all fucked up. I looked deeper and of course it is vibecoded and developed by an AI company.

Anyways this comes after playing around 15 matches of the new hog yesterday and just feeling sad while doing so. Hog was such a fun character to play and now he honestly feels kinda boring, his dmg output is way lower so now he's just a bullet sponge. Better off playing someone else. Rant over.

"They want to get rid of one shot combos." Lots of characters still got one shot skill shots. It's a skill shot for a reason. Stop punishing players for doing well. Let players learn from their mistakes rather than nerfing the cause.

Which brings me to why the fuck are we punishing tank players? Hog was fine as he was, he had his counters, he had comps he could fit in, he had a balanced pick rate. Why nerf him to the dust because people are bad at positioning? It felt like an unnecessary rework to fix a non issue.

Tank is already an atrocious role to play, you can have big impact in the game stats wise but still lose because your healer decided to be a dps for the match, or your dps keeps just trickling in mindlessly into a 5v1. Tank has never been great to play and the game has had this issue for a while.

Honestly if you got killed by chain hook usually it was a skill issue, the Hog just outplayed you, same as getting one shot by Widow or Zenyatta, or one clipped by Tracer. Like those it requires a bit of luck but also a good player behind the character. This feels like punishing good players.

Old Hog was a good tanky tank that had great survivability but most of all good players could use him to punish bad gameplay on the opposing team. Landing an effective hook was about knowing when to use, who to target and keeping track of different thing to make sure you had the most impact.

Imma do something I haven't done in a while and rant about Overwatch. The Roadhog rework is one of the worst decisions I have seen this game make and I was here for the botched launch of OW2. Maybe I am biased because I main tanks but the gameplay change for his character felt like overcorrecting.
