CONCORD, N.C. — The Saturday action for the NASCAR Cup Series and O'Reilly Auto Parts Series has been canceled due to rain from Hurricane Isaias. The NASCAR qualifying metric will the starting lineup for the Bank of America 400 with the O'Reilly Series race to be held after the Cup Series on Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The NASCAR races at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend could be impacted by inclement weather. Shower chances near the track range from 50 to 100 percent throughout Saturday and Saturday night with "patchy fog then showers and patchy fog," according to the National Weather Service. Because of the chances of rain Saturday, officials moved up some of the on-track activity for the O’Reilly and Cup Series.

The NASCAR Truck Series will have a different entitlement sponsor next year. NASCAR announced Thursday, Sept. 17 FedEx Freight be the new partner, replacing Craftsman. The series will be called the NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series. "Over the coming years, NASCAR and FedEx Freight will work to develop additional opportunities to engage fans, employees, customers, and the broader business community," NASCAR said in a press release.

DARLINGTON, S.C.- Carson Hocevar’s first NASCAR Cup Series Chase started in Carson Hocevar fashion, wrecking Brad Keselowski and leaving Darlington with another rival in the garage. With eight laps to go in stage one, Hocevar got into the left rear of Keselowski, sending the No.6 car spinning on the exit of turn four, bringing out the caution to end the stage.
