Earlier this week #HoustonLanding announced that it was closing its doors. I hate this for Houston. They helped tell our story honestly. In February, I had the opportunity to be the opening storyteller in their 2025 HTX Storytellers event in the Historic Eldorado Ballroom. youtu.be/iJFanM_EFJI?...

Who is the “they” when you say They? They are often white, but not always. They are often male, but not always. They are often wealthy, but not always. Sometimes They are all three and sometimes They are neither. I know They is shorthand, but never naming names means They could be anyone.

Between Nikki Giovanni and Jamie Foxx, this is a very emotional day.

November’s full moon, otherwise known as the beaver moon, beamed brightly in the sky as the last supermoon of the year. See photos: cnn.it/3CqhbGQ

In a view seen from Hoboken, New Jersey, the full moon glows behind an observation deck with people aboard it in New York City

The moon sets behind Penshaw Monument in Sunderland, United Kingdom, which appears illuminated with blue, reddish and purple lighting

A vividly clear moon shines brightly in the dark skies above the spire of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Thailand

So much of what is wrong with society is that people count a win even when they a fighting someone considerably more vulnerable.

Today is Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day (RBWTSD). We honor the bravery of Ruby Bridges walking to Franz Elementary school as the first and only Black student in 1960. Who was the first student in your family of origin to attend a desegregated school?

Wrapping up a training today and one question is floating near the surface of my heart. How is it that States’ Rights override Human and Citizen Rights?

Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. A better alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform. And before y’all start, you can transfer all your Goodreads data to Storygraph so you literally have no excuse.
