Guess who got a puppy and now gets almost no time to rest? Spoilers, it's me. Man do I miss playing video games.

Back at work after finally taking some time-off, 4 day weekend which was fantastic. I almost finished Star Wars Outlaws. There is so much to do in that game. Why must i be a completionist when it comes to open world RPGs? Also, why don't I take more time off from work?

Brian @thequietgamer.bsky.social · 03/03/2026

Finally started Star Wars Outlaws. Yeah this game is fun. I love Star Wars games where you're not a Jedi. Takes me back to the early days of Star Wars Galaxies.

It's so demoralizing to see the extended forecast only have days with below-freezing high temperatures.

010

Brian @thequietgamer.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

... I don't want to talk about it.

Finally getting around to watch House of Dragons. It does feel like it redeemed the subject material after GoT failed to nail the landing. However I get terrified anytime a likable character gets introduced. I just know it'll end in tears. We just met this guy and I fear for his safety.

I think we need some politicians to come out and say "Ask not what the government can do for corporations, but what corporations can do for the government."

whose idea was it to have a Monday between Christmas and New Year's eve. Who designed this?

At my fifth Christmas party of year. This one has the best cheese tray.

I did it. I finally bought Kingdom Come Deliverance. The first one because I do things slow. I'll probably get around to playing it in 3 years.

Brian @thequietgamer.bsky.social · 26/12/2025

I've played Fallout 4 for about 150 hours the past few months, still on my first playthrough. I feel like half of those hours are spent in Far Harbor. That DLC is dense, especially compared to the DLCs to Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Praying to the melatonin gods to do their worst.

020

Brian @thequietgamer.bsky.social · 22/12/2025

I clearly underestimated how much time I'd spend playing Fallout 4. I'm level 48, 150 hours in, and clearing out the quests in Far Harbor. There's so much to do and I'm not bored like I was while finishing up New Vegas, I know that's blasphemy but it's how I felt playing it.

is it just me, or is typing on an iphone even worse after the awful Liquid Glass update? I've never had more typos and autocorrect is screwing me over a lot.

I'm not ready for this weekend to be over. And it hasn't even begun yet.

LucasFilms Games just hits me wrong. Still hyped as can be for Fate of the Old Republic, but they need to bring back the Lucas Games name.

The VGAs are the only award show I look forward to every year. And honestly it's one of my favorite nights of the year. Celebrating video games and sharing everyone's excitement for future releases.

000

Brian @thequietgamer.bsky.social · 10/12/2025

not a big Playstation year for me, but I did finally platinum my favorite comfort game, Just Cause 3. Most of my gaming was on PC, finished Fallout 3, New Vegas, and almost done with Fallout 4. And did maybe my 8th play through of Cyberpunk 2077.

Thief VR is out today. I've always loved the classic Thief games and ever since getting a VR headset, I thought Thief would be a great game to put in VR. Can't wait to get my hands on this! www.roadtovr.com/thief-vr-rev...

My Black Friday strategy is this: Throughout the year, make a list of 4k bluray movies I want to own. Wait for sales and buy any that end up below $20. Easy peasy lemon squeezy All while wondering why I haven't cancelled my Amazon Prime sub.

Horror games need a chicken-mode. Where they buff all your health and damage output and ammo and inventory so I can enjoy the spooky atmosphere but none of the frustrating, panic inducing moments of being out of ammo or health. My stressed out heart can only take so much!

I did it. I deleted my Tik Tok account. It really wanted me to like MAGA Mike and be scared of non-christians in my latest and last doom scroll. Not falling for their alt-right shit.

I don't normally have FOMO from people playing new releases since I'm knee deep in my backlog, but damn do I want to play some Ghost of Yotei! Looks incredible and I loved Ghost of Tsushima so much!

Oh, the Alex Jones mustache thing was real. I mean, I guess I'm not surprised. It just seemed so stupid I dismissed it entirely. Can we reboot the simulation already? It's clearly glitching beyond saving.

Alien Earth is fantastic. So naturally I decided to see what the Aliens subreddit was saying... and apparently I'm wrong. That I didn't realize how unoriginal the show is and how ruins the oh so intricate lore that's been established by the franchise. Ok Reddit...

I'm still fond of the original Mortal Kombat movie, but it has tons of weird choices that make it hard to watch. Not least of all this one. Putting Sonya Blade in a weird leather skirt and chaining her up as a damsel in distress for like half a scene.

Shang Tsung and Sonya Blade in a nearly pointless scene.

I used to do this all the time as a kid. I was obsessed with martial arts movies and professional wrestling. Now just for shits and giggles I like to try doing it once a year. I failed last year but this year, this year I did it. Although I think I injured my knee, and my neck feels funny.

Trump murdered 11 civilians, whether they were involved in organized crime or not, doesn't take away their human rights. Trump murdered those people and released the video to boast about it. It's not law enforcement or legal military action, it is simply premeditated murder.

11 civilians murdered by the US military with a missile, premeditated murder for foreign citizens.
