Some of us have learned how to Quest/Android convert & improve Android avatars, optimize avatars with Unity tools, use Mochifitter to apply outfits, edit textures, add audiolink, add prefab assets and gimmicks, build computers, optimize computers, create event posters, and more all without gen AI

I mean From what it sounds like VRChat should probably have an AI use disclaimer on Steam stating how AI has been used in an assistive way for coding. + also explain how users may upload UGC with AI assistance or AI generation (once they decide what they are allowing users to upload, going forward)

Often, they bribe the local governments so they can put them up quickly and without permits or environmental assessments, etc usually needed for a project of this scale Because they are often built so quickly, and without assessment, the impacts aren't fully known until after they are in operation

Yeah, they build them in historically black neighborhoods, next to retirees' homes, next to elementary schools, and in things like old growth forests, wetlands, waterways for major towns, and other ecologically important sites in the US

This situation with AI is, while still a controversy, quite different And it has been a worsening problem over time that it seems even the VRChat devs are split on Before EAC, a lot of VRC user generated was malicious+dangerous Now, a lot of UGC using AI is deceptive+false

I have this feeling that your knowledge of VRChat is cursory at best For a little history: EAC was super unpopular at launch in VRC but the community (particularly those who were vulnerable to hacking, etc) eventually came around to it when most accessibility tools were reinvented

Before easy anticheat, malicious use would mod the client to ruin events, crash users, overheat VR headsets, hack, etc much more often However, immediately after EAC, the community lost a lot of accessibility mods (most of which have been readded or reinvented) but the VRChat became FAR more stable

Also keep in mind that Virtual Desktop works MUCH better on Ethernet with a dedicated router (I use a router with DFS channels and my QPro gets its own DFS channel, 98% of the time, I have no wifi lag at all) But VD beta also has a wired connection option now, too More info in their Discord

I love VD and I use it on main What everyone here recommended for sure But also I recommend: increase color vibrance, turn on the Snapdragon Supersampling, no lower than 35 bitrate or things get chunky, above 80-ish causes me noticable latency, and medium graphics is the best for performance

I see what you mean I think folk's issue with it as well is that the website they used is also vibe coded and I saw a user's browser say it was unsafe to visit/the browser flagged it as insecure

But yeah, I think most of what was lost with EAC has been reinvented by VRC devs itself or by the community in another form so, overall, I think EAC was a good move It really cut down on crashing, client hacking, etc from what i have noticed
