Well....this was a book. Don't ask me what kind of book. But a book it was. 🫠 #booksky

Book cover:

The Wretched Divine by Adalyn Grace

Book review written by me on Goodreads for the book The Wretched Divine by Adalyn Grace:

Thank god this bullshit is over.
Why I haven't dnf'd, or flung myself off a building, is beyond me. I deserve a medal for torturing my eyeballs until the end honestly.

I started making a list of things from other books until I was sick of continuing:
Rhovar (pronounced like Nevarre from Fourth Wing), Azriel (ACOTAR), Orion (Zodiac Academy), Ilaria (Solaria from Zodiac Academy), Sybil (The Knight And The Moth), Myrah (pronounced like Mira from Fourth Wing), the Divine (The Knight and the Moth), Velari (Velaris from ACOTAR), Yuriel (Suriel from ACOTAR), Scribes (Fourth Wing), chapters starting identically to TKATM and FW..... And that's not even all of them!

This piece of trash feels like the author took buzzwords from popular fantasy/romantasy series and threw them all together in the hopes to also go viral on booktok. And I hate it with everything I have in me.

Aurelie annoyed me on every damn page she was on, which is impressive considering I'm an easy reader and hand out five star ratings like I'm cosplaying as Oprah. Severin is way too much written like a wannabe Rhysand but lacks any of the charisma. Yuri is the only character for which I even kept going at all. Had it been just about him without all the bullshit, I would've probably given it 5 stars. But even he couldn't save this ship that sunk faster than the Titanic. I also don't know in what world this is supposed to be an adult novel, but on Earth-616 this reads more YA than Shatter Me (an actual YA series).

Throw it in the trash, let a military tank drive over it and then light it on fire. But never come near me with this garbage ever again.

I'm rereading the empyrean and just falling even deeper in love with the fourth wing universe! This truly is my favourite book series ever 🥹 I need it injected in my veins honestly

You're going to love Violet. She's smart and stubborn.

Reminds me a lot of you, actually.

You just have to remember when you meet her: she's not her mother.

THRESHING DAY MY BABY 🩶⚡️ This was amazing!!!!!!!! I need book four more than I need air to breathe because Basgiath has my heart

Me (Nikki) rated Threshing Day by Rebecca Yarros 5 stars on Goodreads with the following review:

Go into it with low expectations since it is only a novella after all!

But fuck me this was incredible!!!!!
Just the sheer act of being back at Basgiath, getting Xaden's pov again, Ridoc's pov which might be my favourite, Liam's pov ("an honor really" REBECCA WHEN I CATCH YOU 💔), and seeing more from characters that I previously didn't care for much but now have fallen in love with (I'm looking at you Brennan and Aaric)....I simply can't give this anything less than 5 stars ⭐️
