Elections Alberta finds that yes, Dale Nally did violate the Elections Act when he pulled voter records in order to attack the credibility of an organizer of a petition against him. But there will be no penalty. The commissioner feels the Act is ambiguous enough that Nally might have been confused.

"I write to inform you of the outcorne of your cornplaint that the Honourable Minister Dale Nally used the list of electors inappropriately when he provided his member's response on November 17, 2025, to the recall petitbn that had
been approved.
I have concluded my investigation. I have reviewed all the evidence collected and considered section 20 of the Election Act, which, in my view, is intended to protect the personal information of electors. I find that Minister Nally had accessed the List of Electors for a purpose not authorized by the Election Act;
however, I acknowledge that there is ambiguity about whether the use of the List of Electors would have been appropriate in these circumstances.
Accordingly, my decision is to close the file without issuing a letter of reprimand or an administrative penalty. Instead, Minister Nally was provided advice to support his future use of the List of Electors.
As required by section 54(2Xa) of the Recall Act and section 153.091 (5) of the Election Act, this is your notice of investigation outcorne. My Office will be taking no further action, and this matter is concluded."

was not made lightly, it comes from a firm belief that my responsibilities first and foremost are to
the people of Northern Alberta. Remaining independent allows me to speak plainly, advocate
freely, and work constructively with anyone, regardless of political stripe, when it benefits our
region.
As we head into the spring session at the legislature, my focus will be squarely on serving the
people of Northern Alberta. That means continuing the fight to protect the Lesser Slave Lake
riding, and ensure that northern representation is not diluted or erased through any proposed
boundary changes. It also means advancing serious conversations around resource revenue
mapping, and fairness.
Northern Alberta generates enormous wealth for this province, yet too often sees too little returned
in infrastructure and access to core services. The imbalance must be addressed with honesty,

According to the Elections Act, voter registry information is to be used only for revising the voter register or for conducting elections. Trying to get a recall petition against yourself quashed is not one of these purposes. Did Dale Nally commit a crime?

EDMONTON — CUPE Alberta President Rory Gill had the following statement in regard to the injunction against the Minister of Education's order.

"We are pleased with the Court's decision today. All children have the right to learn and the Minister's order was unjust and cruel.
"We are heartened by the court's refusal to order the use of replacement workers as a means to resolve the issue.

Edmonton Public is bringing in scabs to cover the work of striking education support workers, says CUPE

A media release from CUPE Alberta:

While the province continues to ignore the crisis in Alberta classrooms, Edmonton Public Schools is bringing substitute teachers into classrooms to handle the extra work normally done by education support staff. Support workers are on day three of a strike at the school district.

CUPE 3550 President Mandy Lamoureux says the board is paying $230 per day per teacher, considerably more than the wage being asked for by support workers in the strike.

“While the Alberta government tells support staff to be happy with poverty level wages, there’s apparently enough money to cover extra teachers’ salaries,” said Lamouruex. “They should be talking to us about ways to solve the real, long-term problems in Alberta classrooms.”

Lamoureux said the average education support worker in Alberta makes just $34,500, with Educational Assistants averaging even less at $26,400. Support workers have not had wage increases in ten years, a period of time in which inflation was at 30%.

“The best way to solve the crisis in the classrooms isn’t to scramble and hire a few substitute teachers,” said Lamoureux. “The best way to solve the crisis in the classrooms is to solve the underfunding problem, the low wage problem, and the recruitment problem.”

As some of you may have noticed, certain defamatory posts have been circulating on social media, falsely
accusing YEGWAVE of being 'run by bots,' 'operated by Russia,' and spreading additional false information.
First and foremost, we want to clarify that these comments are baseless. YEGWAVE is, and always has
been, a Canadian entity, based and run out of Edmonton, Alberta. We strongly believe that without our deep
understanding of our city and culture, the page would not be what it is today. Our account has worked with
both major local businesses as well as our police services to assist them to the best of our ability. We are
proud Edmontonians, Albertans, and most of all, Canadians.
The screenshot circulating that claims our account is run in Russia, along with the comments that suggest
we "quickly hid it" are unequivocally false. Our location has remained as it currently displays for years, and
the reason it has appeared that way is due to the use of a location spoofer and a VPN, which we utilize to
protect our privacy.
On this matter, there have been conversations surrounding our motivations for preserving our anonymity.
There are a number of reasons, the most prominent being personal safety. In the early days of our account,
we received a number of threats, and as the account has grown, so too have these threats, both in number
and severity. We do not wish to compromise our safety, and anonymity is the most simple and least costly
way to achieve this. We are not a major corporation that has the luxury of being able to afford private
security.
Furthermore, we'd like to address some of the narratives surrounding our account. We have never posted
news or media to portray or push certain narratives. We strive to make everything we post objective in
