I say go to kendo again, so you can see if it affirms the first lesson, or you feel different.

Off to UK Games Expo today, and got some fames to sell. And so I've got them on the back of my bike, and then a short train ride to the event. I feel like Santa delivering presents with those bags 😂

Another lazy weekend with my son [his request], where after lunch he wanted to do some colouring in and then painting. As he was doing that, I joined in by drawing and colouring in a Gengar from pokemon. He's incredibly supportive and encouraging 🥰

It can very easy to overthink a technical solution for a simple and analogue approach. I still need to finish writing and practice it, and hopefully I get a good turnout. I may figure out a way to have an altered version with no workplace branding, and share it online. #PirateTesting

Next week it is Learning at Work Week, and I'll be giving an internal workshop on sketch noting. After plenty of overthinking on how to show concepts and approaches in a remote-only event, I realised why not sketch what I wanted to show and take a picture. #PirateTesting

Photo of a page, with 4 simple drawings surrounding text. From top left they are: The word Billboard, on a simple line drawing of a billboard. The word Pins, in a box with pins sticking out the top corners. The words Double Box, in box with a second outline around it. The word Clouds, in a drawing of a cloud.

Photo of a page, with stick figures of people. Top row has one with a triangle body, one with a rectangular body, and one with a round body. Bottom row has three half circles grouped together, with circles for heads, to represent a team of people.

Photo of a page, with the words "common icons", and five simple drawings around it: a computer, a light bulb, a cup with a handle and liquid inside, a clock, and a music symbol.

Photo of a page, broken into four quadrants, and each quadrant has six tiles. The top left have the tiles going 1 to 6, in a pattern going down, right, up, right, down, with 1 in the top left and 6 in the bottom right. The second quadrant has blue arrows connecting the tiles in a zig zag pattern, going down, up and to the right, down, up to the right and down again. The third quadrant has the tiles going A to C in the top row, to D in the bottom right, and to the left E then F. The fourth quadrant has green arrows, starting in the top left and connecting the top row, then going from the top right to the bottom left with a long arrow, and further arrows across the bottom tiles.

It's what made series 4 so full and amazing, and series 5 such a let down that I never re-watch it.

Re-watching Babylon 5. Series 1, episode 4. A world that had biotechnology, wiped out 1000 years ago. Watching at the time, that's cool. By the time you get to series 3, "Oh. OH! This all comes together." The little hooks early on that get revealed over time was amazing.

Endometriosis: - millions of women (and fellow uterus-havers) suffer from severe symptoms on a monthly basis - it takes YEARS to get a diagnosis (if you're lucky) - there's still no proper treatment b/c "women" But sure, take your absurd amount of money and use it to harass trans people. 🖕

I have housework to sort, groceries to buy, old clothes to sell. But it feels so easy to put off. So boring. Why is it as a child you want to grow up, be an adult, only to get there and it suck? Feel this is all a rant to the ether than a cry for help, but didn't want to bottle it up 😥

Tonight I built Lego for an hour and streamed it on TikTok, where the longest viewer lasted 2 minutes. But since then I've been binging Billions. I struggle to read for pleasure. I did buy a punch needle kit, could muster up trying that? But the idea of failure makes want to never start 😞

I'm alone for the next few days, and I feel lost. My son is with his mum. My partner is focusing on her studies (but we were together in the middle of the week). I feel I should do something with the time. But that I'll then overthink, and it will stop me getting anything done.

Playing with my son building Lego. He wanted to do themes. I said we could do a mash-up! Both pick a theme, get 5 minutes to build. Then swap, and keep using our theme with the new piece. He picked car, I picked house. He enjoyed the approach, very different, and will suggest it at school.

In police movies, why are Internal Affairs seen as the enemy? Making sure the police follow rules is a good thing, right?? Yet somehow even in entertainment, can't be shown making sure the police follow the rules. Renegade cops get results and more appealing, right? See most cop movies...

I had a wardrobe clearout after my formal shirts sadly not fitting any longer. Body wise ok, but they're all 15.5" neck, and I'm a 16" these days (got measured last week). 11 shirts to get rid of. Will try selling on Vinted, and donate if no luck. Don't wear even 1 formal shirt per month though.

Rewatching Dark Knight, and I'm at the part where they escort Dent to jail and get ambushed by Joker. When the road was blocked and they went underground, why didn't they just drive in the oncoming lane instead?! The road was blocked off to all other traffic, and missed the Joker.

Outside of that and another penny stock I had £2 worth of, all my investments are in a global all-cap fund, so I'm not worried 😊 I did some small trading in the past, but it was risky and stressful, and I'm better with set and forget. I buy workplace shares, but not enough to be a risk if it falls

Does any accessibility experts out there know of any resources that can tell me exactly how a screen reader uses the tool? I’m not interested in how to use the tool, but _how_ it’s used. I’m after almost how to create good UX for SR users, beyond the basics

If someone ever asks if you can lose money on penny shares, show them this screenshot. I bought £2 worth in 2020, giving me 39 shares. They have fell 99.81%! They are worth £0.00 to me. Stock pucking can be exciting, but very risky. It's not my job for a reason!

Screenshot from a stock market app. It shows the company UK Oil & Gas. The investment gain/loss shows -99.81%, for a total of £2. Current value of shares being £0.00.

I've had some clothes arrive recently, so I went for a mini fashion show, to try a combination of jumpers/turtlenecks, trousers, and belts together to see what I liked. I however, hate looking back at myself, but my partner told me her favourite, which did help me.
