Heading "around" the moon, but I'll take it.

Glad I have the Finieous Treasury to remind me of those olden days! I wonder what happened to JD Webster.

I went with a group of D&D gamer friends to watch it at the theater and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Sad that there will not be a sequel. Should have bought the D20 popcorn bucket...

Just finished it. I really enjoyed Mosscap and Dex's relationship. The best way I can describe this series is this: what if the Cylons returned, and, instead of waging a final battle against humans, wanted to learn more about their creators and make sure they were ok. #battlestargalactica reference

Now to find a copy of Dragons of Autumn Light! The original paperback edition is quite pricey!

I read the first book of the Dragonlance trilogy in my teens when it first came out. Never read the other two. Asking: does it hold up in this day and would you recommend that I buckle up and finish the trilogy? #dragonlance #bookrecommendation #tsrnovels #dungeonsanddragons

Parker pen refills. So begins a story, the old-fashioned way.

These die cast Dungeons and Dragons miniatures are so badly painted. Ugh. But then I imagined that they were probably painted by children in factories...so conflicted...anyway, it was cheap and from Five Below, so...plus, I really wanted a Mind Flayer.

Agreed. These games are our forms of escapism. We can make of it as we choose in our dining room space. If you want orcs to remain evil, no problem!

Aye. Also, each group adapts the rules to their liking. No one is policing them on how they prefer to play.

As a social worker, I've seen a lot of despair. But having hope helps in dark times. Being able to reframe what is happening around you into something that you can have some control goes a long way.

Dragonslayer came out in 1981 but I somehow never actually watched the film until yesterday. I enjoyed it and kind of crushed on Caitlin Clarke! But she passed away in 2004. Anyway, the special effects were pretty good for its time. And it was a Disney film! But they did push some gore in the film!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all those who celebrate! And to the rest of us who are heathens, I hope you also had a great day! You're hoping you have time to get together with your friends and play great games!
