What scene makes you emotional no matter how many times you've seen it?

Star Trek TNG: Lal, Data's daughter, experiences negative emotions when this week's evil admiral threatens to take her away.

My copy is definitely a kids book, I don't know what all the talk is about narrative complexity and what not. If anything, Frank Herbert seems very crafts-oriented to me based on this

It inspired this meme (crossover with the film Black Dynamite), which has provided me with endless joy.

The Book of Boba Fett: a Trandoshan drug lord objects to Boba's change in direction, paraphrased from the film Black Dynamite. "But Boba Fett, I sell drugs to the community!"

My origin story book. Like most kids, I grew up loving dinosaurs. But this book made them more vital and real to me than any collection of bones in a museum could.

You've just died. The 6th picture in your phone gallery is what killed you. I'm very ok with this.

I'm not one of those anti-Kennedy types, but if they didn't have time to come up with something original, there was a framework *right there*

Kathleen Kennedy: "Every one of these movies is a particularly hard nut to crack." "There's no source material. We don't have comic books. We don't have 800-page novels."

NBC, I think you'll find the correct name is "Bobert." It's a common mistake.

Chloe Grace Moretz on 30 Rock gushing about meeting Dr. Robert Ballard, but Ballard, as portrayed by Brother Dusk from the AppleTV+ show Foundation, informs her that "Bob" is short for "Bobert."

Ahead for now, but I have some 500+ page books coming up in the TBR that will slow my pace down considerably.

Sometimes it's the lighting, but there are definitely two blues:

Dr. Crusher with one of her non-sex candle toting mentors, the improbably-named Dr. Dalen Quaice. Their uniforms are clearly different shades of blue; while Dr. Crusher's is truer, Dr. Quaice's is leaning towards teal.

Had a great time at @treklongisland.bsky.social today. Met lots of great authors (like @bobgreenberger.bsky.social! Thanks for signing my books!), Trek actors, and fellow nerds. Nice to enjoy a con as a fan for once instead of hawking my books and such.

Post a fictional character who you think would be an antivaxxer. Hard mode: No villains (Leia would make him do it, but he wouldn't be happy about it and he'd complain all the way to the space CVS)
