![annotated comparison of "Authentic real hatsune miku" (or: HMO miku in my opinion) and "Soulless corporate hatsune miku" (or: lat miku, and v4x kinda)
contains illustrations of a design similar to HMO miku and lat miku
notes on the illustrated parts:
(for the back hair, hair spike, tie clips, nametag, and tattoo of HMO miku) a lot of people didn't draw these bits if they didn't see/remember them
(for the grey and white shirt change, thinner hair clips and lack of hair spike) actual design change btwn KEI and ixima
(for the outfit comparison) this has both fanmade and official design changes
short tie, no tattoo: lat miku
no belt: v4x
white shirt: lat miku and then v3
both designs have a series of bullet points with responses
on the left:
"- Hair is more on the green side cause back then people thought her hair was more green than blue"
people would lean towards making miku greener than usual from 07-09 if they were going to change her but normally people would stick pretty close to her official colors
"- Always has some fucking cool ass ahoge"
ahoge miku was a little more common in the early community but most people wouldn't draw her with one
"- Either has the palest or [orange/yellow-esque tannest skin] (underlined) you've ever seen"
this is really specifically how HMO miku looks in some lighting which influenced majin_kz's artstyle
it was more common for miku to be shaded with peach or ivory or other realistic tones while still having somewhat pale skin
"- Always sporting that sick ass belt"
removed by miku v4x
"- Has a really long tie"
"- Super nice and humble in talkloid videos"
varies A LOT. crypton prefers this personality. if we're talking 2007 she is either your wife or a feral idiot
"- Usually original v2 voicebank"
people tend to base their artwork off of the voicebank they're using so most grey shirts are v2
I am running into the character limit lmao so ask if you actually need the rest of the notes transcribed](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:pqp2rznl4g5nkylmerxo7isl/bafkreifptwzgjz2rnxwrpbi324tnfie3dn5i26rq4imfsg6jf7kjbkgj5a)
