Giants QB Daniel Jones, benched as the starter, has requested his release. The team is expected to grant it. That would mean Jones would go through waivers, which he’s likely to clear because of his contract. At that point, he’d be a free agent.

You could film a season of Hoarders with the amount of shit this guy pawns off on his followers. The grift just never stops.

Two quick penny collecting tips: 1. "L on the rim" is not an error. 2. Don't believe every price you see on eBay. Also, the latest addition to my collection, the Y2K Cheerios Penny: theoman.com/2024/11/16/t...

The Y2K Cheerios Penny

In my quest to acquire all of the pennies, I came across a fun one! To start off the new millennium, the US Mint partnered with Cheerios to release the first 10,000,000 Lincoln cents, and 5,500 Sac…

Fun penny fact: 1960s Penny Large Date vs Small Date In the image below, the large date is on the left and the small date is on the right. The easiest way to tell is by the gap between the 9 and the 6. The small date 1960s pennies will have a noticeable gap between the 9 and the 6. Now you know!

would love to see a revamped copyright regime that essentially ceded stuff like “long forgotten video games” entirely to the public domain. if sega goes to a judge and says “these people are emulating astro boy: omega factor!!!” the correct response from the judge should be “who gives a shit”

hey new users, Bluesky is a *public* social network please read about data privacy and more in our User FAQ to help you get oriented! even though we require an invite code to create an account, you should treat any posts here as if it's a public blog blueskyweb.xyz/blog/5-19-2023-user-…

What is public and what is private on Bluesky?

Bluesky is a public social network.

Posts and likes are public.
Blocks are public.
Mutes are private, but mutelists are public lists. Your mutelist subscriptions are private.
Invites and invite trees are private.

Why are my posts, likes, and blocks public?

The AT Protocol, which Bluesky is built on, is designed to support public conversations. To make public conversations portable across all sorts of platforms, your data is stored in data repositories that anyone can view. This means that regardless of which server you choose to join, you’ll still be able to see posts across the whole network, and if you choose to change servers, you can easily take all of your data with you. This is what causes the user experience of Bluesky, a federated protocol, to be similar to all the other social media apps you have used before.

Since it's over 100 degrees out today, I was revisiting Sequoia National Park in the winter. It's the best time to go, in my opinion. The fire damage was from the 2020 Castle Fire. Tip: We were the only ones out there that day who brought crampons, so we had the main trails entirely to ourselves!

Two sequoia trees in the snow with fire damage at the base.

Looks like y'all like nature around here, so I'll add some more from Great Basin National Park. We explored the caves there as well! Fun Fact: Lehman Caves are home to over 300 shields (the circular alien looking thing in the first photo), more than any other cave.

Let's start this account off with one of my favorite photos from a camping trip in Great Basin National Park this past weekend. We were there celebrating my wife's birthday, and it was absolutely beautiful.
