Laura has ALS and uses a wheelchair. Her usual naturist beach has no amphibious chair - getting her into the water takes two people lifting her by hand. So she went nude instead at the beach she was told was the accessible one. A case study in this #UndressedThread on activism and backlash.

I do remember a time on my most recent trip where I decided to relax in the garden bit by the pool naked. Most people unfazed, one woman really giving it her all to have a cheeky look. Personally I found it a bit off at the time, especially when her husband was there but oh well. 🤷🏾

Same. I've seen a lot of bush over the past couple years, particularly my lot (the younger lot). I saw an absolutely mahoosive one the other day in the spa!!! Incidentally, partner says seeing the uptick in bush has made her less self conscious about hers.

Your eyes will stray in different directions when nude and when clothed too. The key is for people to be normal about it and not stare or be obvious. It's perfectly normal to glance briefly at someone's boobs or a penis. Staring and acting weird after when caught is not. 😂😂😂

I feel nudist is a yank term which has encompassed anyone and everyone including swingers and voyuers who want to operate under a less obvious banner. Naturist seems to be the people who are nude for nude's sake/ not in it for sexual motivations.

I love how free and unashamed the Dutch and the Germans are with nudity. Staying at my fave spa tonight and it was so good to walk in and see all the beautiful naked bodies about. No hang ups. No shame. Just free and undisturbed.

I wish we weren't so uppity in the UK over erections. A normal bodily function (one which is good news when you get them!) In Europe I've noticed they really don't care if someone's sporting one at the beach, just don't be weird about it.

I was watching a show called Send Nudes: Body SOS and this woman was clear on how much she didn't like her breasts etc but a few comments from the spectators were positive. Frankly, she has great looking breasts! There are a lot of women who look like her around.
