Continuing attempting to rough out arting for Joy’s adventuring while Ren and Ryo are off doing the main quest - intending to colour these at some point, but want to at least have the whole story roughed out in greyscale first Two new pages finished today 😁 #shenmue #letsgetshenmue4 #joy

Little sketch dump continuing the brain worm of the Hong Kong crew in Japan, in this case, integrating into/taking over the docks. Wong making friends fishing, Joy speeding in a forklift, Ren joining Master Chen as an appraiser of antiques and extra security #shenmue #letsgetshenmue4

Greyscale sketches of Wong, Joy and aren from Shenmue. Wing is fishing, Joy is driving a forklift, and Ren is looking grumpy wearing a suit

Little sketchy thing that makes sense in the context of a story that thus far mostly exists only in my mind. So, without there currently being context, please interpret as you wish! 😁 #shenmue #letsgetshenmue4 #shenmue3enhanced

Sketch of Joy wearing a too big shirt with rolled up sleeves pinning Ren against a wall angrily, holding his jacket collar and glaring at him

Second ever attempt at a manga strip type thing. Here, carrying on from my post-Shenmue II Hong Kong plotline of Joy vs Yellow Heads - of course, Guizhang will come to help because he won’t let Joy take on a dangerous gang alone #shenmue #letsgetshenmue4

Manga style comic strip showing Joy from Shenmue calling up Guizhang to ask for help in rescuing Wong from the yellow heads. He refuses and she hangs up, saying that she’ll do it alone

Messy little thing that I might tidy and colour at some point (I have a long list of such artings…) Explanation in the replies because I’d hate to rob anyone of the chance to conjure their own ideas about what’s afoot 😁 #shenmue #letsgetshenmue4

Sketch in black and reddish brown of Ryo, Ren, Joy and Wong from Shenmue. Ren and Joy are sitting on a couch reading, Ren with his feet resting on an oil drum. Wong is sitting on the floor, reading with a cat on his la. Ryo is walking through a door to the side, a towel around his waist, and drying his hair. He looks annoyed.

Thinking about starting to add hand-painted mugs to my Etsy store, and first test had to, of course, be #shenmue related Attempt at a Heavens mug, because what gang doesn’t have merch? #renofheavens #letsgetshenmue4 #shenmue3enhanced

Part 1 of ? (at least 2) random sketchy things of the beloved #shenmue Hong Kong crew in Japan because, when Ryo’s mission is over, why shouldn’t they go back with him? Train at the Hazuki dojo, work on the docks, play some darts, relax in an onsen… #letsgetshenmue4

Two little bits of #Shenmue art for the weekend (and background drawing practice) Premise is that in helping Ryo against the Yellow Heads, Joy and Wong put themselves on the gang’s radar, which is not great, especially without Ren there 🫣 #letsgetshenmue4 #art

Art in reddish brown of Wong from Shenmue running away, looking back over his shoulder as he does

Art in reddish brown of Wong from Shenmue (in the anime style) trapped in an alley between a group of thugs in front of him and, behind him, Yuan. He's looking back over his shoulder at Yuan, with an expression of fear. There are grazes on his cheek and elbow.

Devastated that Leverage Redemption got cancelled! Now more than ever we need the catharsis of watching rich, powerful, corrupt people being taken down! At least Sophie got to steal some very shiny jewels before retiring though #leverage #leverageredemption #saveleverage

Greyscale art of Sophie Devereaux from Leverage Redemption wearing two items of the stolen Louvre jewels - the sapphire earrings and necklace. The sapphires are the only coloured part of the art. She's leaning on a chair, and has her other hand on her hip, while looking up and into the distance thoughtfully.

The Wan Chai crew continue to live rent free in my head. Here is a sketchy little scene of pre-Heavens Ren and Wong. Ren notices a kid who can pick locks really well, and decides to get him to help out on some criming #shenmue #letsgetshenmue4

Sketchy art of Ren and Wong from Shenmue. Both are younger than in the series. Wong is wearing an oversized hoodie and no shoes, and is picking the lock of a pawn shop. Ren is standing a short distance away, leaning on a wall and watching him with a small smirk. His hair is loose under his bandana and his shirt is fastened up.

Sketch dump of my four favourite characters from #shenmue I want a Wan Chai spin off anime so much! Not as much as I want Shenmue 4, but while making the game why not have a cheeky little anime series set in Hong Kong? What are the Heavens up to without Ren? #letsgetshenmue4

The Unofficial Wan Chai Justice Bureau - got a problem, been the victim of injustice, landsharks trying to make you leave your home? They’ll sort it out for you. #shenmue #sega #anime #letsgetshenmue4

Line art with simple shading of Wong, Ryo, Joy and Ren from Shenmue in the anime style. They’re all smiling, and they’re overlaid in green, red, yellow and blue, respectively

Little doodle of Wong on his boat after a bad day ☹️ Maybe before Ryo arrives, or after Ryo and Ren leave? (Which, by the by, I would worry Joy and Wong would be in danger from Dou Niu et al. after going up against them, then Ryo and Ren leaving) #shenmue #shenmue2 #wong #art

Sketch in dark red and grey of Wong sitting on the roof of his boat with no shoes on. He is looking sadly into space, with his knees pulled up and his fingers linked. There are grazes in his arms, knuckles and face

Two linked commissions for a really lovely tumblr mutual. The characters are their OC and that of their friend #vampires #blood #art #ocart #commission

Drawing of one man pushing another backwards onto an embalming table and biting his neck. Everything is greyscale with deep shadows, except for the blood spilling from the bite wound

Drawing viewed through an old open door, showing one man sitting beside the unmoving form of another and crying tears of blood, with one hand curled into their hair. It is all greyscale except for blood staining the cheeks of the griever and the neck of the victim

I want this four to open a private detective agency or something. That has nothing to do with this random art, which is just because I wanted to practice drawing Shenmue folk, but the statement remains #shenmue #shenmue2 #art #animeart #sega

Simple drawings of anime style Ryo, Joy, Wong, and Ren from Shenmue, with each on a background of a single colour, which is less strong on their faces. Ryo is red, Joy is yellow, Wong is green, Ren is blue. They’re all smiling softly, except for Ren who is smirking devilishly
