Vacation urban sketching backlog posting, this time from Amsterdam: Another sketch while waiting for food! Got most of the line work in before the dutch pancakes arrived... And finished up with the coloring after we finished the pancakes. #usk #usksg #urbansketch #lineandwash #themessyurbansketch

Started sketching late so just two quick stops to go before reaching my stop... I ended up with a full page spread but no time to color. Added color at home while watching youtube. #usk #usksg #urbansketch #lineandwash #themessyurbansketch #trainsketching #trainsketchers

Vacation urban sketching backlog posting. I did this quick sketch at a restaurant in Brussels. Was forced to stop when the food came, and I finished up in the airbnb afterwards. The mussels were absolutely amazing! #usk #usksg #urbansketch #lineandwash #themessyurbansketch

Back to the reality that is work. I'm still jet lagged and exhausted from the trip... And I still have a lot of sketches that I did during the vacation that I'll slowly post... But yes. For now... I'm back... And you can expect the weekdaily sketches to resume shortly.

Last few days of the vacation... It's been a long trip, but also, ending too fast. I did get a few more sketches in on this trip. might get a few more in before heading back. It's been fun. I ate a ton and saw a ton... And revisiting the cities I've been in brought me new insights to these places.

A digital sketch I did at h&m while waiting for my mum to buy a new pair of jeans. The other pair she brought too tight. My legs and back was aching badly from all the walking, plus my heavy sling bag... It was rough #digitalart #digital #booxtablet #usk #usksg #urbansketch #themessyurbansketch

My loot from the louvre museum gift shop and the Pylones shop nearby. Watercolor users would understand why the business card holder is an art supply. I think i don't these two Rubik's cubes? Definitely not the one with Mona Lisa's eyes, nose and mouth. #artsupplies #artsupply #artsuppliestalk

Me: I don't have anything to buy in Europe. I won't have time to go art shops anyway... I'll just bring my family to see Sennelier because it's such an iconic, prettty, and unique shop. Also me: comes out of the shop with ~120 Euros of art supplies 🙈 #artsupplies #artsupply #artsuppliestalk

In case folks are wondering where I've been, and why I've stopped drawing... I'm holidaying with family! Tried to squeeze in some time to draw... But there isn’t much time at all. It's been tiring so I'm now trying to bring out very little gear #usk #usksg #urbansketch #themessyurbansketch

The face ended up very weird bc I was watching YT while sketching this (adhd much). But I like how it turned out! The train window too... one side is higher 😅. Today's quick sketch. Once upon a time, I wondered the point of having three different liquid charcoals... Yeah sure the tone is different... But they are still rather similar? Now I would beg to differ. #usk #usksg #urbansketch #lineandwash #themessyurbansketch #trainsketching #trainsketchers

I went to a sketch up event on Saturday! Used the cotton rag paper sketchbook from blue pine arts... Which I love bc it's really light... But this paper isn't great when there's lots of drawing, the fibers of the paper clogs my nib. #usk #usksg #urbansketch #lineandwash #themessyurbansketch
