This one section in Crash Twinsanity where you have to guide Cortex through obstacles as he's being chased by bees has always been a section I liked just because of how it escalates for Cortex and it's a platforming section I like.

One game I haven't finished yet is Psychonauts, mainly because I'm trying to go for 100% completion. I like what I've played so far, though I got as far as the Milkman Conspiracy and hadn't finish because I couldn't find the rest of the Figments.

Having played the Calico Wilder and the Crystal Blade demo some more, for some reason it didn't register to me the first few times you could jump out of a Warpstrike to vault in midair, that made it quite a game changer for me as I'm just zooming around much quicker, it's fun.

I was a little bit excited at first when I saw the trailers for Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force GX before I headed for the Steam Store page and realized it uses generative AI, and I was very disappointed.

I've played other Yu-Gi-Oh related stuff on Xbox 360 and PS4, but admittedly I feel like I wasted money on the DLC in the long run in retrospect. Sometimes these days I jump into EDOPro to play against myself or a CPU opponent using decks I made for fun, I usually play solo.

One game I grew up on back in middle or high school was Yu-Gi-Oh GX Tag Force's PS2 port, The Beginning of Destiny, it happened to be my introduction on how to play the card game. I often took advantage of the slowdown at sunset to get some specific sandwiches pretty easily on native hardware.

Here's how to do the Alf Layla wa-Layla boss fight in Project Reignition without using the Gauge Lock skill. This was done in the latest build as of this post, 1.0.3. The trick is to get your Soul Gauge about halfway after knocking Alf's Spirit Bomb back.

One part of the Zoom Out feature for cutscenes of the KH1FM Re:Fined alpha that I noticed right away is that because the scenes are uncropped some parts you're not supposed to see are visible, which can include characters off to the side or pre-rendered textures, like the Disney Castle cutscene.

Playing around with a Re:Fined alpha build for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix I found on the Re:Fined Discord server. It's interesting seeing scenes play out in 60FPS and more zoomed out scenes, though with it being in alpha I imagine that there are still a couple kinks to work out.

Pro tip on Project Reignition's version of the final boss for Sonic and the Secret Rings if you're having trouble filling your soul gauge, Alf-Layla Wa Layla, turn on the Gauge Lock skill in the Edit Skills menu, this decreases your soul gauge down significantly.

One achievement you can't get on day 1 due to the modified progression system is the "Defeat Erazor Djinn at level 25 or below", you earn too much EXP as a result, so if I had to make a suggestion for an update I'd add a skill at the start of the game that stops you from gaining EXP.

If I had to recommend a version of Sonic and the Secret Rings for newcomers, I'd totally recommend Project Reignition, I have run into some day 1 bugs and a tad bit of jank and I have some nitpicks like how you can't run on lava and damage the Ifrit with Speed Break but otherwise I think it's fine.

Decided to give that fan remake of Sonic and the Secret Rings, Project Reignition, a shot, and it's a good fan remake for the most part I'd say. Easily the Erazor Djinn fight is the best boss fight in the game much like in the Wii original.

I'd forgotten how decent Sonic Superstars is until replaying a bit recently on PC, saw a zoom out mod and decided to apply that after learning how to apply mods to the game. It's pretty neat having a wider field of view at almost all times, normally this FOV is exclusive to co-op play.

Pretty quickly, I was able to get to around the mid level 70s and did some work to get some achievements. One finicky thing I'm trying to get an achievement on is delivering milk as part of Krillin's training, boost steps are finicky so I take my time on them whenever those show up.

Got a hold of Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 on PC recently through the Summer Sale, specifically the Special Edition. I was able to level up my CC fairly more quickly than I remember on PS4 due to the updates. One ultimate attack I managed to get was Gohan's Beast Special Beam Cannon, so that's cool.

One of the first things I did after beating Hi-Fi Rush is beat the final boss on all the other difficulties with an S Rank, and I found it's a pretty fun final boss fight to learn and beat, it's also so satisfying to parry his AOE attacks and lightning strikes.

One thing I like about the first Kingdom Hearts game is the fact there's some alternate scenes for going out of your way to do some stuff, like defeating Squall from Final Fantasy VIII in Traverse Town or doing levels in a different order early on, or leaving a specific level and coming back later.

One would think that without Leaf Bracer from the Final Mix release that Sephiroth in the PlayStation 2 version of Kingdom Hearts would be a lot harder, but I actually found him a little easier since he has one preset counter per phase that you can loop with the right timing instead of being random.

One thing I like about the original Kingdom Hearts on PlayStation 2 is that grinding for synthesis materials is a little more smoother of an experience. I always go out of my way for Ultima Weapon anyway, but for a little test playthrough on the PS2 version I got this before doing the Hades Cup.

I sometimes forget about the fact that in the original PlayStation 2 releases for Kingdom Hearts how different some of the character models are compared to the Final Mix HD Remix version of the game.

I still remember the Treasure Planet PlayStation 2 game quite fondly, it plays somewhat like Jak and Daxter, even activating the Beacons has a similar gameplay feel to collecting Power Cells in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.

My sister got a copy of FF16 on Steam with all the DLC, and since we share our games I'm doing a few sessions here and there. I find it funny that the updates and DLC give you the Buster Sword and stuff with 160 ATK & Magic, really speeds up the first few fights, like the fight with Tiamat.

After doing a bit of grinding I gave the boss fight one more try and just tanked as much damage as I can while unloading the Needle Lazer on him before the game could crash. Crashes aside, the HeroMode+ mod for Jak 3 OpenGOAL was a bit of an interesting experience.

So, I made it to the end of the HeroMode+ mod for Jak 3 OpenGOAL, but the game keeps crashing at this boss fight at the end, so I don't think I'll be able to finish it until the mod gets updated. The intro to the mod did say to expect crashes.

Playing an OpenGOAL mod for Jak 3, HeroMode+, and you can replay the Precursor Robot boss fight. Also, you don't have to shoot the minecars to damage the robot in this mod, which is interesting. This makes for a good way to farm an additional currency the mod adds, Dark Eco Crystals.

One thing I always like to take advantage of in Jak II and Jak 3 on PS2 and PS3 is this the Infinite Orb exploit. It's a bit easier to do in the third game. This exploit also works on the OpenGOAL decompilation ports.

One mechanic in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is that since new life can't be born due to the ending of XIII-2 where the Chaos of Valhalla gets unleashed, you can completely exterminate the various enemies throughout the game, and doing so can get you come unique weapons and stuff.

One of my favorite bosses in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is definitely Caius, though I do find it somewhat humorous that if you wait until Day 8 that you get ahold of Army of One and can decimate him if you have good equipment and stats.

It's really nice that the Jak and Daxter trilogy has all been decompiled to play on PC now, Jak II's my favorite in the trilogy and Jak 3 I liked and replayed as much as the 1 and 2 but didn't quite love as much as those two, I still like it mind you but I prefer Precursor Legacy and II.

I always really liked the scene before mission 1 of Devil May Cry 3, a really cool action scene where Dante eats pizza while killing demons in style. The fact that Dante in-game can do some of the things in this cutscene like slide on basic enemies and shoot his pistol atop them is also nice.
