Noticed this comment by @jeetheer.bsky.social at the FB Marvel Method page. Kirby would have been familiar with Doc Savage but the team of mixed personalities goes back much further. Kirby mentioned Dumas in several interviews. I'm sure the team comprised of contrasts is ancient.

His writing credits at DC are far more extensive than his art credits. At Marvel the so called "writers" didn't really write in the sense of writing stories. They all wanted to work Stan Lee Method where the person being paid for art did the writing heavy lifting.
