C++ is old yes but very far from not used. C++ can also be just as readable as long as you avoid trying to be fancy with your syntax

What difficulties do you have? My dev experience on Linux is much smoother than with the window OS. I am using godot though. Also tried bevy a bit and also worked flawlessly.

No, "AI" results don't look "fine", they look half hearted, empty and devoid of any meaning. The problem imo is that people trying to force "AI" into everything is completely out of touch with the real world or don't care enough about actually creating anything good.
