Only just turned 28, I said forget about the height(!), and better off the right than left. Stats back that up.

Agree on Madueke. He'd be top of the pile for me, it just feels unrealistic. Surely they wouldn't sell?

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Loan with option. I feel he could be a different animal under Howe.

@editkev.football Kev, height aside, what do we think of Buendia as a possible low cost Almiron replacement?

Ag-ba-dou-dou-dou, you've scored none and we've scored two!

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

The idea would be to sell Trippier and Targett, both of whom are on massive wages. KWP provides cover on both sides.

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Thinking out loud here but if we could get Walker-Peter's in this month and send Targett back the other way, that would be a big positive in my book.

I am absolutely sold on El Khannouss. Should be very high on our shortlist for the summer, especially if Leicester go down. Such a talent.

If January is a suitable time for Man City and Guardiola to strengthen, then it should damn well be suitable for us as well.

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Aye 😂 I live in Australia and its hot here. I'm confusing myself!

010 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Yeah but that would be stupid on NUFC's side and we couldn't blame anyone but ourselves. Pope has struggled and we aren't a charity. Either pay up, or we wait until January.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Yeah but that would mean he leaves January, not now. The reports were of him having played his last game and leaving right away. Players under contract cannot just walk away immediately.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Wouldn't make any sense. Why would we let a player under contract leave now for nothing?

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

21 year old, English, PL proven... he'd be worth it.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

Harvey Elliott could be a good shout for NUFC. Replace both Longstaff and Miggy.

230 3

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

That's not what I read. It would be a fee around £6-8m right now.

110 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

In this window? Surely there would be a fee.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

Even more important to sell him now then. Trafford is clearly the long-term target either way.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

I know some will disagree given his form but we need to sell Dubravka. Sell in the high, buy in the dip. We've missed the right moment to sell with numerous other players. Can't be doing that again.

The midfield trio that has the lot.

010 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

Wondering if PSG signing Kvara would have any impact on Lee Kang-in's availability. Play on opposite flanks but it's an additional winger all the same. #NUFC

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

We should always be desperate to improve. Truth is, there are very few PL proven CBs better than Stones. The real issue for me would be wages.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

Could argue Burn has been one of our best. Trippier also.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

Exceptions should be made for quality players and Stones still has a good three years in him at the very top. That's just my opinion, of course. Club may see things differently.

000 0

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

Don't think his last couple of injuries have been muscular, so there's every possibility he stays fit once back. Such a top talent, will be wasted if not playing regularly.

000 0

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

Dias, Akanji, Ake, Stones, Khusanov, Reis. Surely that's too many CBs for City? Five of those are right footed as well. If I'm NUFC, I'm very interested in a cut price deal for Stones at this point. Injuries a concern, but that's a signing that elevates us.

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

Something like this vs Bromley please: Vlach; Trippier, Schar, Kelly, Targett; Miley; Longstaff, Willock; Almiron, Osula, Barnes.

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

Araujo now linked with Juventus. Sigh.

000 0

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 07/01/2025

Yeah I know. All I'm highlighting is that it's really fine margins between a good season and a great one.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 07/01/2025

Correct decision to extend Schar's deal, but it should only be for an additional year. Lascelles is the CB to shift.

020 2

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 06/01/2025

Mad to think that had we held on vs Palace, we'd now be sitting in third. We should've beaten both Brighton and West Ham at home, too. Such fine margins. #NUFC

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

We'll be the strong favourites in five of the games, so in that sense, it's not all that unlikely.

110 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

It's not unreasonable to want at least 15 points from our next six games.

110 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

Waaaaay worse than the foul Botman received a yellow card for.

000 0

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

Like the look of Acheampong in that RCB spot for Chelsea. Very tidy on the ball.

000 0

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

Get in. Knew it wouldn't be easy, but the boys dug deep. That's such a massive win, man. Over the moon.

010 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

That is a blatant penalty. Unbelievable.

010 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

Tino is so good defensively but needs to release the ball waaaay earlier when in possession. A brilliant ball carrier, but he quite often only sees 5 yards in front of himself and ends up running into dead ends, which was a big factor in us struggling to control the game in those early stages.

000 0

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

They're a high energy side that will try to force us back. We're confident and rightly so, but we mustn't get ahead of ourselves.

010 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

B team is a stretch. They're still strong enough to have Bissouma, Maddison and Son on the bench.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

People need to stop underestimating Spurs. That's a good XI and they will cause us a lot of problems. Any result would be a good one today.

010 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

If there's even the slightest chance.

100 1

TheMackemSlayer @themackemslayer.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

No Cunha for Wolves vs Forest. That's a real blow. Had hoped Forest might drop points there but cant see it now.
