I had a bad day today. On an unrelated but thematically appropriate note, here's "Less Light Remains": youtu.be/1XnR2KjiTRU

It's not a TLS record without some d-beat drum machines, so here's "Scars are Landmarks": youtu.be/JAVKIazl1KY

Track #3, "Absence in Artifice"! Fun fact: I intentionally made questionable production decisions in this song because it amused me. youtu.be/8l-5dCVfJOM

Track #2, "A Path, A River, A Door"! This song is dedicated to the wood glue that melted during a CA heatwave and exploded the nylon string guitar I didn't get to finish recording this song with. youtu.be/NBli6pY8Gwo

I couldn't decide what songs to post before the release... so I'm going to post *all* of them, in order. Anyway, first up, "Abandon the Shallows" is track #1 on Rifts Become Passages, out on 1/16/26! youtu.be/6UD6QHXfA7Q

Now that the album is done, I can get back to the important business of losing the rank up match for High Master every single time.

More new gear for the new thing! I'm really digging the Hydrasynth. Despite its reputation for ambient stuff, it can get severely heavy.

On the upcoming album I wrote a slower, more ambient piece to try to balance things out. I ended up speeding it up and adding a breakdown which made it the heaviest on the album. In response, I wrote another ambient piece which... got sped up and breakdowns and is now heavier than the first one.

One more track down and got Master on Ryu... now back to cleaning up the last song before 6 months of existential dread and remixing over and over again?

I always told myself I wasn't going to build out a Eurorack rig, but that was before I watched every Mindphaser video on youtube

I know that buying an Elektron Machinedrum won't solve all of the problems in my life.... but what if it does?

Finished writing another new song, now back to the SF6 grind. Rashid to Master next?
