"Your brains stop developing at age 25" was a press misrepresentation of a study. They wanted to see if brains continued to develop after adolescence, so the study was capped at age 25. A later study with a wider subject pool showed that brains are ALWAYS developing our whole lives.

literally so bullshit, I’m sorry!! augh I severely distrust threads (+ meta) bc of stuff like this, I’ve witnessed myself before those platforms can be/are particularly bad to SW 🫠 thank you for sharing your story though, your POV is always valuable!! 🫂

Meta and X have been quietly downranking external links for ages, but we're now entering a new era of open hostility toward the open web. It's a great time to build your own website, free from any billionaires demanding a tithe for things that have always been free.

If Dolly was our constant reminder that it was Good to be Good, Tim Curry was our reminder that it was Good to be Weird. Embrace your strangeness, sing with Muppets, wear your lingerie with a leather jacket, and fuck with uptight people who hate anything that makes them remotely uncomfortable.

this just after/during recovery of an overuse injury on my RIGHT side too. I know it’s also tied to the 6H, but given how this type of stuff historically tends to (re-)occur during Leo season and not just any 6H transit… my body might genuinely hate to see a domiciled sun coming lol

Solar eclipse in Leo in my solar profected house (6H) almost exactly opposite (2 degree orb) my natal 12H sun is giving me an existential crisis and dredging up a million layers of uncertainty around my future and present trajectory, wow! Who could have guessed 🫠

It’s also the modality like 99% of therapists know & are taught within their education simply bc it’s so long-established in the mental health world and insurance companies LOVE it and back it vs newer modalities that are seen as more “experimental”, like somatics. So more clinicians practice it

050

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 12/08/2026

I have such a big axe to grind against CBT, all the power to people who have benefited but when the modality is often premised upon the idea one can rationalize & “think positive” out of what are often learned trauma responses & deep-seated nervous systems reactions, there will be… limitations 🥴

You get it!! There’s a simplicity and symmetry to utilizing just the upright cards precisely bc of this. ALL of the (upright) tarot cards were already tailor-made to account for each situation, and you simply have to trust that. That’s why I find this style very empowering to one’s own intuition!

110

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 10/08/2026

At least for me, I kinda realized that the reversed meanings could already be divined from the upright cards particularly if you don’t just pull a card in isolation & you read them together/w the surrounding context. So they have never really added a lot other than just make me overthink more

120

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 10/08/2026

Same, lol. Started doing that maybe a couple years ago and never looked back. I also stuck to a consistent tarot practice for myself ever since

@theliminalmystic.com taught me the word kything today and I’m still taken by it Kything: “Kything is an almost lost Scottish word which speaks to the act of consciously communicating with an object” “The spiritual process of focusing on one's shared connection with a loved one.”

182

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 10/08/2026

It really, really is 🥹 I live for those moments, that epiphany that hits at certain points within a spiritual path that’s like, “wait, Spirit is WAYY bigger (and even MORE mind-bendy) than I first thought” 🤭

020

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 10/08/2026

Thank you for this sweet shout-out 🥰🥹💗 It’s a gorgeous term and concept, nearly erased from our present knowledge which is why I pass it on to those interested/involved in this work! Such a loving, timely reminder of the invisible bonds we share w each other and the world/spirits around us 💖

010

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 10/08/2026

Yesss 💗 Incredibly excited to see where this new journey takes you! 🥰🫶🏻🥹 And generally if ever wanna chat more about this kind of mystical stuff too, I’m always down! haha 🩷

010

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 09/08/2026

All this to say honestly very little is unheard of in the liminal and spiritual realms, haha! It’s so beautiful to hear stories like this, every time, how people realize they’re actually even closer to their beloved animal companions more than they realized 🥹 + held by many diff kinds of spirits!

140

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 09/08/2026

Once you’re tapped into that wider spiritual space it almost tends to be a matter of “when” the non-human makes itself known to you, naturally. I learned about the old Scottish word & practice of “kything” from a teacher & that even applies to hearing from other natural beings like plants & stones

141

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 09/08/2026

Gosh I’m so happy that a new world just opened up for you!! 🥹 It’s not uncommon that once you have any degree of mediumship or “intuitive” skills you can start to hear from animals, it’s an art that can be cultivated like any other! But we ALL have that innate connection/access somewhere inside us 💖

Oh yeah, I’ve actually heard of this happening a bunch!! Pets can be familiars and past/current ones can show up actively as spirit guides, I acknowledge that in my own practice. There’s a WHOLE field in the mediumship sphere dedicated to animal mediumship and communication… very, very real lol

150

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 08/08/2026

saaame 🫂 had such a good time when it was more active here! I notice I post more in general when I feel like I will actually be heard/seen & may start valuable discussion w peers & friends. I can’t get myself to talk as much on threads, just endless scrolling most of the time (which is the point 😒)

110

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 08/08/2026

whaaat??? that’s bonkers, what the hell?? yes that’s exactly what I’m talking about. like let’s ask ourselves who exactly does that/that framing serve?? the level of sensationalism ppl feel they need to do to grab your attention & get you to engage is so nasty 🤢 it’s not healthy discourse at all

120

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 08/08/2026

That’s really good to hear and a wise decision 🩷 If there’s some in the astro sphere only here and not on meta then I’ll swing myself back over here to continue engaging with y’all!

120

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 08/08/2026

Agreed totally. I had my issues even with the twitter of the old days but I stuck with it for many years. But threads has been emotionally activating right from the start!! Like I shouldn’t be seeing everyone’s business like that 🫠 Absolutely relentless!

120

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 08/08/2026

That’s verbatim what I’ve been noticing happening to me whenever I use it. Holy shit. I was just telling my partner about how I keep going through these vaguely distressing cognitive loops & a lot of it has been tied to threads. That algo is also meta’s structuring… doesn’t feel “safe” at all to me

120

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 08/08/2026

That sounds perfect, Jess! 🥹 Yeah, basically since its inception I noticed the algo is EXTREMELY hyper-sensitive to all the worst kinds of bait, & also not as conducive to engaging as deeply w/ + retaining community as I (personally!) have found here. Augh… but I’m willing to try here again for sure

220

gabriela 𖤓 @theliminalmystic.com · 08/08/2026

I vastly prefer Bsky to threads bc honestly, the algo on threads is & has been so deeply destabilizing to me most of the time and I also detest being forced to use a platform in this day & age with the ownership it has. But it’s been like a tumbleweed rolling through here lately 🫠 who’s still here?
