Protecting bats isn’t just the right thing to do. It’s also, as it happens, the cheap thing to do. Saving bats is just… very good economics. Need more convincing? Here are 6 more reasons protecting nature is the smartest investment we can make: nature.ly/4ga9HcU 🎨 Mikhaila Markham/TNC

A comic strip featuring a bat and the night sky. In the first panel, the bat flies at dusk, thinking, "Midnight snack or was that lunch?" The second panel shows silhouettes sitting with a musical note and the bat above. The person says, "Strange... not a single mosquito all night," with a figure responding, "I know! It's magical." The third panel depicts the bat thinking, "Magic? Hah. Magic. Right." The fourth panel highlights the bat proclaiming "because of meeee!" at the onlookers who are unaware. The bottom credits The Nature Conservancy and Mikhaila Markham.

I am just tired of feeling stuck in bad situations. I just left an abusive partner that I lived with for a long time and that has been hard enough to handle but juggling all of this on top of it a few weeks later is too much at this point.

I know that they will get tired of it. I just can't make enough money fast enough unfortunately even with trying to make adopts and take on coms again.

I am trying not to stress out about it and do what I can in the meantime but I am just about at my breaking point. It is so hard to get to work rn bc it would be a 3+ hour walk in the blistering heat but I can't afford ubers either. Luckily a few people have been giving me ride but eventually..

I feel like I can't catch a break lately. The furance tech came out today and told me that it would be $20,000 since the whole thing needs to be replaced. On top of that my catalytic converter on my car is shot so that's at least another $1000 if not more and I have $40 to my name.

My dad apparently told my mom how weird I dress. And my mom brushed it off and told him “it’s just her style”. The same day he bought me this super cute phone purse (phone actually works btw!) It’s so funny because he’s confused about my interests and style but is still supportive.

Not just that I still have to have a mechanic look at my car still and I lost hours this week from missing a day of work from that breaking down on the side of the road on Wednesday morning. So once again I will drop my ko-fi below.

I am okay tho besides the fact that now I have to raise funds to fix my furnace. I have to wait until Tuesday for the technician to come out but I already know that I probably won't be able to afford to fix it right away. So i am going to be without hot water for a while now.

Kai Kitsune @thekozykitsune.bsky.social · 11/07/2026

So last night I found out that the past week or so that Carbon Moxocide was leaking out of my furnace due to a blow back. Luckily I had an alarm in my house that works because yesterday afternoon that started going off. It is just scary to think I was slowly getting poisoned all week if not longer.

Luckily I was able to get to work today. Unfortunately I also slammed the bathroom stall door on my middle finger at the end of my break. This week is just not my week. I am glad that it was my non dominate hand that took the hit tho, so I can still work on art. 😅

Dropping my ko-fi in case anyone wants to help me out a little bit. I have no clue what is wrong with my car but it's not looking good at the moment. To sweeten the deal a little I will do a bust sketch for $15 and thighup sketches for $25. ko-fi.com/thekozykitsune

I will say today isn't the greatest because my car died on the side of the road on the way to work but I believe this was the extra push I needed to come back and start posting again. So if y'all can show this post a little love then it would be appreciated greatly. 🧡

I recently left them so things have been getting a bit better as I am getting myself back on the right track. Luckily a new friend of mine helped me put my head on straight and see that I didn't deserve to be treated the way that I was. Things are still difficult but still its better than it was.

Kai Kitsune @thekozykitsune.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

I want to start with I have really missed being on here, interacting with everyone and sharing my art with y'all. I was in a really abusive relationship tho and it drained me so badly that it was hard to keep going. It sucked all of the joy out of my life and my motivation died for a long time.

I can't speak for everyone but as someone who works for a big and super busy hardware store at the customer service/ returns desk; As long as your respectful, kind and understanding we do not mind. I worked today and it was super busy but it made my shift fly by.
