Interdisciplinary research, at least for me, is like being the Swedish Chef throwing a bunch of different ingredients together and hoping for the best. It's not the conventional path, but it's fun and interesting.

My fanfic needs a cat at some point. How does the cat get there? It just walks through the door like, "I live here now." Who does the cat bond with? The guy who thinks the very concept of having an animal in your home is weird. ::jumps on his lap and purrs:: "It's...vibrating."

More thoughts about LinkedIn: Everyone is always so "excited" about things there. I propose we collectively replace "excited" with "stimulated", then see how long it takes for it to become so awkward that people stop using both words altogether.

Sometimes, LinkedIn is not completely useless, and I get to respond to a post like this: "What a coincidence! I love hand-crafted and human-curated post-apocalyptic strangeness! Good to see that you're still writing quality nightmare fuel." For real though, read @wellerstein.bsky.social's blog.

@tattooedhistorian.bsky.social really knows how to pick books for me. The black cover is thematically appropriate. "Most people know that the Third Reich ended in an orgy of self immolation..." That's quite the opener. This could be a wild ride. Giddyup. 💀

Mary styles Andrew and Jr. for Coachella. Jr. nearly burns down the kitchen. Shelley is allergic to fun, especially if it involves sandcastles. Gaignun infuriates his brother with a deadname and decorum while the saxophones keep getting louder. #Xenosaga #AO3 archiveofourown.org/works/889327...

I kept having to make sure the page really was a whitehouse.gov site. Then I thought, "Of course it is. Just look at it." Ngl, the messaging is appalling, but the use of 8-bit aesthetics and gameplay to pedal that message made me even more exasperated. They can all sit on an Atari joystick.

My fic protagonist is canonically a terrible liar. In the game's story, he's working undercover for another organization. Now, add in the fact that this man is wildly mentally unstable. AND HE'S A SPY. One of the original script writers had to have thought this was funny.

Chapter 6 of my #xenosaga fic is late. Unhinged preview: Andrew almost implodes. Gaignun almost gets in a fight with his mirror. Jr differentiates between resort & military time. The Mary & Shelley Fanclub Newsletter omits throuple rumours. There's no Gaignun-Godwin Sisters threeways, you perverts.
