The latch mechanism is unlocked by sliding four fingers up under the cover, making it not something a bear could unlock.

A journalist named Tiffany Fong recently shed some light on this matter, exposing Elon Musk’s private messages to her. In leaked messages, Musk approached Wong with a request to have a child with him.

They never met. Wong didn’t know Musk, although he had “liked” some of her social media posts. She was initially afraid to refuse the world’s richest man.

Tiffany Fong was afraid Musk would manipulate the Twitter/X alghorithm to give her less views, and thus hurt her income stream. But she eventually decided to reject his offer, as she wanted a more traditional family and, besides, the whole thing understandably creeped her out.

Shortly after, Fong was “unfollowed” by Elon Musk. He took away her X Premium privileges — that she already paid for! — and her number of views, retweets and interactions with followers rapidly took a nosedive. Now this is a weird thing. But when you look into the man, there appears a pattern of him approaching women online to have his children. Evidently, plenty of them agree as he reportedly has up to seventeen children and counting right now. But some say no, and he “punishes” them for their disobedience and bruising his fragile ego by taking away their popularity on his platform…

Purchasing Twitter allows Elon Musk to spread political propaganda, and this is one of the things most people write about. Understandably, as it affects most. He also purchased it to harrass and coerce intelligent women he fancies into having his children. Women he never met, many of whom rely on his platform for their income.

3. The Ambassador's personal allegations are of no concern to me. But he is playing a part in a very dangerous process that endangers us all. In the aftermath of World War II an entire edifice of international law was created with the explicit aim of preventing such crimes as those perpetrated by the Third Reich from ever happening again. Over the past 16 months Israel has committed severe breaches of each and every international humanitarian law, doing so with near total impunity. None of the major countries that had contributed to creating this legal edifice stood up to Israel and condemned its actions outright. This inaction has severely damaged the credibility of these states and greatly weakened the international legal order. It is a bitter irony that a country created in the wake of the moral collapse represented by Nazism has now contributed so mightily to undermining the very constraints on international criminality, all in the name of defending civilization. Mr. Prosor is but a small, but necessary cog in this systematic dismantling of humanitarian standards and the dehumanization of anyone standing in the way of wanton violence and oppression. But we will all pay the price for his complicity.

2. The Ambassador engages in the usual defamation of critics of Israeli policies, describing them--including myself--as self-hating Israelis and antisemitic Jews, rather than making even the slightest effort to justify the vast devastation wrought by Israel on Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. If we accept the logic of his argument, the fact that the Nazis and their collaborators murdered millions of Jews during World War II gives the state of Israel a carte blanche to do whatever it wishes to its real and imaginary enemies, indeed, to treat them as if they were Nazis (as they are frequently described on the Israeli media). Anyone daring to point out that the IDF has carried out war crimes, crimes against humanity, and--as I have argued--has conducted a genocidal campaign of annihilation in Gaza, must by definition be an antisemite and/or a self-hating Jew. In other words, as the Ambassador sees it, reflecting his prime minister's stance, Israel stands above any international legal and moral standards.

I've been asked by the Newsroom of WELT in Berlin to respond to Israeli Ambassador Ron Prosor's open letter to the chief editor of the "Spiegel," posted on X, concerning my interview with Thore Schröder published on January 25. I do so reluctantly, since I normally do not respond to hate mail and other forms of cheap propaganda. Engaging with the sort of rhetoric employed by the Ambassador, which does no honor to his position, is rarely profitable.

Nonetheless, considering the severity of Mr. Prosor's allegations and, more importantly, the horrors that he is trying to deny, I take this opportunity to make a few points (an abridged German version of this will be published by WELT tomorrow).

1. The Ambassador reminds us that on January 27 the "civilized world" gathered in Auschwitz to commemorate the Holocaust. That is certainly an important event, and we must be grateful that after decades of denial and obfuscation by much of the international community, growing numbers of leaders from around the world feel politically and morally bound to attend it. What Mr. Prosor fails to note is that two prominent leaders were missing from the commemoration. One was Russian President Vladimir Putin, head of the successor state of the Soviet Union, whose troops liberated Auschwitz at an enormous cost in Russian blood, because he is currently conducting a criminal war of aggression against Ukraine. The other was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, against whom the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for crimes against humanity, including murder, in Gaza. Netanyahu, who has boasted that Israel is defending civilization, not only bears heavy responsibility for the tragedy of October 7 but has sent the IDF to kill tens of thousands of innocent civilians and to turn the Gaza Strip into an uninhabitable sea of ruins.
