I don't know if you've ever played or are familiar with Sleepaway by Jay Dragon, but there are Rituals in the game and some of them involve sacrificing cards. Depending on the ritual, the players have to burn them, destroy them in water, or (my favourite) tear them up with their teeth.Very evocative

8. Forgot to post this! There are beautiful mullein flowers growing at the school during the year so I drew them for "Flower Garden"!

7. Continuing with the undersea theme, for "Ocean" I found recently that clownfish can change sex! So I drew one in an anemone. If you want a fun challenge, try to say that last sentence five times fast :)

6. I can't think of "Diversity" without also thinking of biodiversity, and our world got a little more diverse just this week! New shark dropped. This one's also dedicated to one of my students who apparently cried at this news (she really loves sharks)

5. I really struggled with "Spirit" at first, but I just read the first half of the book "The Spell Sword" by Marion Zimmer Bradley, which has an interesting scene where a character travels by essentially astral projection, seeing "spirit forms" of people and places. The flag is a bit hidden 😀

4. For "Clouds", I was recently introduced to a fascinating phenomenon by one of my students. From Wikipedia: "Cloud iridescence or irisation is a colourful optical phenomenon that occurs in a cloud and appears in the general proximity of the Sun or Moon."

3. For “Stream”, I found myself coming back to Psalms 1:3 : “he is like a tree planted on streams of water, yielding fruit in its season, its leaves never withering - all he does will succeed” May we all grow strong together. Solidarity forever.

Last and not least, it's my character Kheera f'Sulber from a TTRPG game I started recently for "Music" and a pokémon created by me and @kairyderburo.bsky.social named Splatypus sunning itself for "Freedom"!

Behind her, there are a couple of light-green hills, one of them with a grey stone tower ruin on it. A large bank of grey clouds is also moving in behind her.

There is a small grey rock right next to its tail and a collection of rushes, grasses and spiky-looking red plants. The splotches on this one are in the Unlabelled pride flag colours. There is a rock poking out of the water, and there are a few patches with a handful of differently-coloured and shaped flowers on the hillside.

Fourth pair! Behold an old-timey newspaper front page from a book series I am writing, and a dragon miniature that I painted for Self-Care (as I find it very calming to do).

Third pair! The first is work from a reference image of a park near where I live, the second, well, is me :)

Second batch! The first has one of my OCs, Eugene, exploring a freezing river in a snowstorm. The second is a rendition of a pin that I have that is one of my favourites, with some more explicit trans colours on it :)

Behind the broken walls and behind Eugene can be seen tall green fir-like trees, and off in the distance are three snow-covered mountains with blurred blue trees and rock formations.
