I’ve been training my cat to play ambient music. Last night he hit me with this hauntingly beautiful chord change after 10 minutes of A7sus4

The temporary offline thing continues, but why not push something from our back catalogue? This is the longest track we ever made, clocking in at 51.56. We had not heard of William Basinski when we made it, but we obviously share a love of tape loops. :-) #weirdambient

Still temporary offline, will return! We listen at lot to this at the moment - it's really good. (But unless you ADORE drones, perhaps skip the first track until you get a felling for the album?)

We made a video for an old song. Be the first to watch and listen! It's almost five minutes of an industrial ambient drone-thingy, with lots of bass and rumblings. The Secret Ministry of Cold is a song from our album A Fiery Sun Descends, which is a great album! #weirdambient #drone #ambient

#ProudBlue #ResistanceUnited #Pinks Good morning, friends! I love all of these things! We have a murder of crows that we feed. They let us know if we are late! I am amazed at old trees and the secrets they hold and I always have my favorite rock in a pocket. Celebrate the simple things in life! 💕

We came across 58918012 - the least rememberable artist name ever, perhaps - on the birdsite years ago. Everything he has made has been excellent. As is this latest collab with the artist ummsbiaus. We think the genre is ambientelectrocool, or something. Recommended! #theholyclubrecommendsthings

The backside is, of course, that the mics are more or less now an item together with the backpack.

010 1

The Holy Club @theholyclub.se · 27/05/2025

We made our backpack like this: cut holes, and pushed the FEL:s through, fastened with tape from the inside. Had we used CM3/4:s we could have kept most of the tube on the inside, just the top with a minifurry poking through. If this is not already what you did, hope it helps! :-)

310 3

The Holy Club @theholyclub.se · 26/05/2025

Don’t you find the CM3:s small enough to put in your bag? They’re miniscule enough, right?

210 2

The Holy Club @theholyclub.se · 26/05/2025

All omni lavs we have used are thinner than all medium or large membran, including 4061 ans Sanken Pdp-11. But then again, they all pick up more bass than what you actually hear, so for us it is always a case of mixing until we find it sounds ”natural”.

The Holy Club @theholyclub.se · 26/05/2025

At the price range, wouldn’t bother.

010 1

The Holy Club @theholyclub.se · 26/05/2025

Yeah, LOMs sell out within minutes when they are announced, but the Clippies, at least every time we checked, are made per order. Although now and again the queue can be a couple of weeks long. But you will get them. :-)

110 1

The Holy Club @theholyclub.se · 26/05/2025

Yeah,we haven’t used either LOM or FEL in high RFI areas, so can’t help you there unfortunately. As always, doing something what you have is always better than not doing it. :-)

The Holy Club @theholyclub.se · 25/05/2025

With an infinite budget you go to DPA 4060; 134 dB SPL, perfect for recording heavy machinery. Otherwise, check out FEL:s Clippy, wonderful, quiet mics, with 120 dB SPL. (We're not affiliated with FEL, just fans.) We used LOM:s Uši Pro (also good) until we found FEL, and haven't looked back!
