Library haul! Picked up a matching pair (purely coincidental)

Two books on a wooden side table and arm of a chair. Ghost Town by Tom Perotta. Orange cover with a blue car from the 70s, facing left, and with heavy exhaust coming from the pipes. The Left and the Lucky by Willy Vlautin. A pale olive green cover featuring a red muscle car driving off to the right toward an unknown destination. These two make quite an incidental pair.

A lil chipmunk popped up from under the leaves & was left wearing one as a hat. They picked up an acorn, jammed it into its already full cheeks then zoomed off. That’s some Disney stuff

Heard a ruckus outside. Opened the door to a murder (of crows) in my driveway and on my roof. They yelled at me and moved down the street to give me the stink eye

Four or five crows. Some have taken flight, some are on the ground glaring at me. I think they were having a meeting and I interrupted. I can still hear them cawing out there. Talking shit about me, no doubt. Maybe I should throw them some apology peanuts.
