#OtD 20 Aug 1998 the Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum North, Sudan, was destroyed by the US military, killing one worker and injuring 11. The US claimed it was making nerve gas but really it supplied half of all medicines used in Sudan stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/7829... #OtD 20 Aug 1968 the Red Army entered Prague ending the ‘Prague Spring' which had seen the local Party leadership attempt to liberalise aspects of the system.
