11 years ago I discovered LEFLAH during my first trip to Tokyo. In the decade since, Yoshimitsu and the shop's crew have become friends that I visit with every time I'm in Japan.

Shoefiti, available in blue and black, was inspired by sneakers thrown over light posts, fog doors from Dark Souls, and the Windy City itself. Artwork from @colorreaper.bsky.social showcases dangling Jordans on the front and a stylized cityscape on the back.

The Combo Back jersey (and shorts) have stitched appliques on both sides, 2 color stripes, and a Midwest Worldwide label. They're inspired by @ovaltinepapi.blacksky.app asking for them annually, the team at @buttonpoetry.bsky.social getting me to Wolves games, and summer being 80+ degrees.

CB's Dreamers design was inspired by games turning into passions, Calvin and Hobbes, and the reality that achieving victory starts with believing it's possible. Art from @colorreaper.bsky.social. Letters from @jonyfraze.bsky.social. Printed in black with silver accent on brown and off-white tees.

The Pugilist design came from chats about old-school tattoos, arcade culture, and CB’s home in Chicagoland with the crew at Port & Starboard Tattoo in St. Paul. Stop by their shop and you might see Jake from Moose Bros. Salon, a barbershop inside Port & STBD, repping CB flannel.

Our Tribute to Ron was inspired by Detroit's prolific sign painter Ron Miller (aka Ron Signs). Since 1978 Ron has been hand painting letters, many chromed, on buildings across Michigan. You can see hundreds of his works archived by Andrew Anderson at andrewandersonphoto.com/ron-signs.

15 years ago NetherRealm Studios released Mortal Kombat 9. The game inspired me to run consistent locals. Many sequels (and an Injustice franchise) later, bringing people together to play games I love is still what I want my events to be about.

10 years down. To the friends, peers, crew, players, fans, hoodie buyers, and everyone else who has made CB possible, thank you. It is a privilege to make these events with y’all. Forever home in the heartland.

At CB2024 we hosted Extra Life 4 Kids & Lurie’s Children’s Hospital to help them fundraise. Today I received a stick painted by one of Lurie’s kids to thank us for hosting their best performing convention table! I’m so proud of our community’s generosity. Thank you for helping us support the kids.
