Brought my dad up to my property in northern Minnesota this weekend for Father’s Day and we started clearing a path through the forest to the lake. Not bad for an 84 year old who just had a heart attack a month ago!

Given all that’s going on in the world, getting up the north shore of Lake Superior and the Gunflint Trail over the weekend with Winnie and Willie for a few days has helped my mental state more than anything these past few months. Just before our country voted for a fascist dictatorship, I was on the most beautiful roadtrip down the pacific coast with my dogs. Maybe I should just sell everything and drive around for the next four years…at least I could just focus on the natural beauty of our country that way?
