Galathil can't really swim. They grew up in the Wealdath, a very large forest in Tethyr. When the weather was warm enough, they went to bath in nearby rivers with their mother and played in the water.

Galathil grew up in the forest of Tethyr, so I chose outlander that really fit their background perfectly ! And I must say that I'm happy how accurate the game allow me to play them most of the time !

Not a modern AU, but I tried to craft my own homebrew where some technology exists alongside magic, but it's not fleshed out at all. Note that Galathil doesn't have a LI in their canon, only in BG3 which is itself an AU and not their main canon. Their are canonically asexual and somewhat aromantic.

In BG3 AU (which is not Galathil’s canon), they return to Tethyr with Jaheira and Halsin to ride the region from the cult of Bhaal. Then they introduce their friends to their mother, who happen in fact to know Jaheira since they were apprentices at the Druid circle together.

Because of my own experience with dysphoria i like it when my main characters gives the opposite vibes physically from their inner selves. Hence I had the idea of having Galathil, a Drow who’s a Druid and love wearing green clothings. I insert a lot of myself into my characters.
