107. Hokum (2026) Legitimately the most dogshit movie I've seen in years. So bafflingly bad I'm struggling to believe it's real and not, like, just a practical joke or something. Trite. Beyond amateurish. Embarrassingly shot, edited, acted and written. How the FUCK does this have so much praise??

106. Lake Mungo (2008) Every couple of years I come back and it only hurts more and more. Movie that makes me cry basically frame 1. Carries with it a familiar, deadening horror that sits deep in my chest. I know it too well. I fear it too well. Forever masterpiece for me. Essential to know me.

105. Carrie (1976) It's been a minute since I last watched this one too but God it's just so heartbreaking. Sissy Spacek is so incredible. I legit just cry from the start of prom all the way to the end because seeing Carrie so innocent and finally happy hurts SO muchas you wait for the inevitable

104. Creepy / Kurîpî: Itsuwari no rinjin (2016) Kiyoshi Kurosawa does it a again. I honestly can't get over how much this plays with making you think "okay there's no way it's actually this obvious that this is what's going on" only for it to turn on you and say "yes and it's so much worse too"

103. Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) It's such a mess. It's largely worse than the first, but also? The fucking production design and expansion of the setting is the COOLEST fucking shit ever???? Both these movies have sat with me for SO long but I tend to forget how much cool shit is in 2

102. Hellraiser (1987) It's been a LONG time since I saw this last and I kinda forgot how little the Cenobites are in it. I also forgot how incredibly funny they are. Every line out of Doug Bradley's mouth is the coolest line ever. Also Garak is here playing the most cucked man alive.

99. Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Dear lord, where do I even start??? This is the best in the franchise. Hands down. Easily. Yes, it's even better than That One. Seriously. It honestly feels like a thematic conclusion to where the series has been going since AC4 so many years ago. Or at least...

98. Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man! (2026) A lovely look at one of my biggest, and earliest, inspirations. I think I learned to love film in the ways that I do through his use of parody and satire as an expression of love I do wish there was a bit more delving into his later films but alas!

97. Asteroid City (2023) Yeah that's still my favorite Wes Anderson. Feels like this came out so much longer ago... It's basically becoming an annual watch for me now.

96. Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (Video 1999) Very clearly runs out of money by the end, but it's just delightful. Andrew Divoff does this thing when he's in the Djinn's human form where he never blinks, never closes his mouth and still moves like he's in the makeup and suit. Incredible work.

95. Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) Perhaps the most racist movie I've ever seen, but in really REALLY fascinating ways.

94. Dune: Part Two (2024) First rewatch since catching it in theaters and man. MAN. I think the only problem is the way the film is paced and edited around Paul taking the Water of Life is suddenly very very quick and weird. Like I can feel that there was more shot that had to be trimmed for time.

93. Dune (2021) Still can't believe he pulled this off. These movies are so unbelievably rewatchable in the exact same way the Lord of the Rings films are, which is fitting since this really is slowly reshaping modern sci-fi films in the same ways those films reshaped modern fantasy films.

92. The Batman (2022) Rewatching this in 4K on an OLED and a UB820 really making me feel like I've been watching movies all wrong up 'til now At this point I'm terrified of Part 2 even releasing because how the hell do they ever top this? Still appreciate how much everyone gets owned constantly

91. Top Gun: Maverick (2022) A movie that makes me go "FUCK I wish I'd caught this in IMAX" Anyway Ace Combat 8 is making me insane and I had the insatiable itch to watch this and then immediately jumped right back into another mission after Calling back to the homoerotic volleyball game is smart

90. Babylon 5 - The Gathering (1993) I ammmmm back on my bullshit and rewatching B5 lol It's always funny returning to The Gathering and seeing just how different it all is (and how Not Great some of the acting is) Still, it hits its stride like halfway through and Londo ALWAYS shines

89. The Pitt - Season 2 (2026) By and large an improvement on the first season, which is saying something! The characters feel richer and the big mid-season conceit this time was real good. I think my only problems are that the format does rub up against its limits a bit here with

88. The Pitt: Season 1 (2025) Hey so why did it take so long for another show to use 24s format????? Anyway this is real good. About to dive into season 2 but really fond of how this handles pacing its format out (better than 24 did lol) and while the characters are simple, they're done very well

86. Aniara (2018) God I wish this was good. It has, like, bits and pieces I liked a lot but this just kinda refuses to focus on anything interesting and just kinda scoots along, casually mentioning heavy things along the way only to leave them in the rearview. Great ending tho. Loved that.

85. Resident Evil (2026) Cregger continues to have the sauce. I've seen the sentiment that this is basically a new Resident Evil game that they simply put into a movie and not only do I fully agree with that assessment, but I also think this movie basically solves a problem I have with modern RE

84. WEAPONS (2025) Seeing RE tomorrow and wanted to catch up on my Cregger. Really fascinating look into narcissism and how it grabs hold of systems of service to manipulate care into selfish gain. Narcissism has terminology that's already attributed to witchcraft so this was a natural way to go
