We spend a couple months in California every year getting away from the snow. The sunsets are our favorite part. #california #sunset 📷

A few years ago I was lucky enough to rent some imaging time on an observatory grade Planewave CDK-700 which is a 27" astrograph. This is M16 the Eagle Nebula and the iconic pillars of creation. Raw data processed in Pixinsight. Wish I had more imaging time on this one but $$ #astrophotography 🔭

Smoke photos. Each one a bit different from the next like a snowflake or cloud watching.....All it takes is an incense stick, a dark room, a camera and a flash. Easy-Peezy fun on a rainy or snowy day.

Popping water balloons inside the house in the middle of the winter. In retrospect this is probably much less problematic outside in the summer 🤣 Pluto Trigger and Nikon D800 #photography #nikon

An oldie but still one of my favorite images and targets. M51 The Whirlpool Galaxy. Celestron RASA 8 and Atik 314 camera. More than likely post processed in CCD soft and PS since I dont think I was very savvy in Pixinsight at the time. (Still not all that savvy 🤣) #astrophotography #astronomy

New here to bluesky. No point mass posting old photos. But I'll just do a few......Elephant Trunk Nebula IC1396......ZWO S50 smartscope. I was pretty skeptical of these little scopes when they came out but I must admit you can get decent results and not break the bank. #astrophotography
