That was an epic clusterfuck of an adventure yesterday. Picked up a new (2003) ratty bike from the arse end of beyond, Dorset, and rode it home through the storm. Supposed to be 6 hours by train, one late, missed next, 2 hours 20 late.

Haha. Decided to tart up my tatty fairings on the VFR750 because there's bugger all else to do on it. Little happy dance when I realised I still had some exact match paint. Sprayed. Bugger. It's the base layer. Got to ride about on pretty pink patches viffer until the top paint arrives. *sigh*

May have to have a rest day tomorrow. Back to running; day 1, nippy 6 miles, day 2, faster 6 miles. Today slower 6 miles. It was horrendous. One foot in front of the other, grind it out. So hard. Just wanted to quit for most of it. Grim.

Got my fitness back, lol. Day 2. After going at it hard yesterday, and feeling poorly ill today, I thought I'd do slow, easy, miles today. First mile sub 8.30, second, 8.01! Well, spank my arse and call me Charlie! Had to go for it. Threw in a sub 8. *Tomorrow* slow.

Running stats: 8 miles at 8.08 m/m average.

Went out to do a steady 6 miles after pushing the pace yesterday. Started off nippy, so I had a target to chase. Did it. Three days back at, managed a sub 8.30. This is why I get so many injuries. Was it good training? No! But was it fun? Fuck no! Why am I doing this again?

That was better. Well, faster, hillier and longer. I expected it to be bloody awful (and it was) so I settled into the effort and got on with it. If I can keep it up, it shouldn't take too long to get back up to snuff.

I've had the shits for a couple of months. (Enjoy your breakfast.) Doctors ruled out cancer and such (yay!) but no diagnosis. Fingers and knees started hurting. Is it connected? Dr Google: Inflamed Bowel Syndrome. Got test. Bingo! Super. Crohn's or colitis, most likely. No cure. Deep joy.
