Just 3 years ago Rebirth used "it's got 2 discs" as a marketing/hype reveal. Obv some of this is that Revelation's launching on 4 platforms with different disc/cart capacity, but it's also another sign of how quickly the physical margin-squeezing's accelerated towards our digital hellscape future

I love that Metroid unabashedly spoils the previous game every time a new one gets a trailer. Like, you get FFVII dancing around revealing anything for Revelations because of Rebirth spoilers, and Metroid just shows up to go "hey btw Samus is a fucking Metroid now lmao see you in a few months"

Soon, R&C1 will have 4 Platinum trophies: PS3, Vita, PS4, PS5, tied with Sly 1-3 for the 2nd most Plats for any one game. Jak 1 holds the crown with 5 (PS3, Vita, PS4, PS4 again, PS5), but R&C will again have more total trophies than a series that's been dead since 2009...until the Jak 2-3 ports.

Yeah, the only reason they ever bug me is more about the S2's tiny hard drive. Even the "deal" price I paid for an SD card felt gross. Realistically, by the time any of these download servers die, we all know what we'll have done to our consoles anyway, to make sure we don't need the real servers
