Happy Wiztober/ Cursed Relics. For Wiztober the prompt was feline companion! For Cursed Relics, we have Thornblade, Divination Bones, and Lyre of the Last King. Yes, the Lyre is the kings skull fused with his melted crown. #wiztober2026 #cursedrelics2026 #noinktober #october #artchallenge

Dungeons and Dragons thoughts: Most of the complaints I hear about 5.5e are from ✨ non-DMs ✨ They don’t like that Orcs aren’t always evil, hags can be boys, but still try to make game breaking characters Why is that? For some it’s the fear of losing control instead of enjoying the narrative.

Dungeons & Dragons thought. Late night edition: Should booze be allowed at the table? DM thoughts: Yes, if you know the people playing and know their drinking habits. I PERSONALLY cap it at 3 drinks. If you don’t know this group well… bruh, that’s playing with fire. 🤣 Get to know them first. 🍻🍺

Dungeons & Dragons thought #1: Ai shouldn’t exist within Dungeons & Dragons or any TTRPG. Why? Games that are based off of your creativity lose something special when players or DMs are not using their own creative thoughts. Ai is a crutch when making a character or story. Flex that brain! 💪

Pete was gifted to the city of Pittsburgh with the NFL Disney collab and I’m all about it. I had to give Pete a worn Mean Joe Greene jersey he bought from 1978 that he never washed. (You can’t wash a jersey if it’s lucky!) Imagine the city getting Iron Man. Gross. Pete is a Steeler fan.

What up! It’s me, a forever DM who has countless characters he wants to play. This is Grudvaar the Grand, an arch fey warlock who is being tricked into thinking his powers are his own by his fey patron. She also tricks him into doing good deeds, wearing her colors, and thinking he is an emperor.

Typically I stay out of contests that say “design our shirt, win $50.” However, I entered this one because in the rules they allowed Ai to “help with the design” and that kind of stinks. I wanted them to look at an unusable design that was created with love and intention. #noai #shirtdesign

Another metal night in Pittsburgh? We have Enterprise Earth! Amazing bad and very kind too. My favorites Nekrogoblikon! They KILLED it! Plus we have the headliner Hanabie! I saw them the first time they came to Pittsburgh and I was super pumped to see them again. 🤘🤘🤘

Enterprise Earth! I love finding new music at concerts.

NEKROGOBLIKON!!! This band is a riot! The entire gang blew me away.

Hanabie is a gem. They are such a fantastic talent!

🤘🤘🤘🤘 Hanabie is such a high energy band. I love that they are getting the recognition they deserve!

Tonight was a heavy metal night in Pittsburgh with Atlas, Ov Sulfur, and Orbit Culture. 🤘 I’ve seen Orbit Culture 3 times now and they always kill it, but this show was pure energy. There’s nothing like a concert to warm the soul during cold weather. Come back to Preserving Underground anytime! 🤘

Living in Pittsburgh during the end of winter and beginning of spring is like living in a wind tunnel from hell. It’s been bad in the past, but the last few years have been horrible. Trees are down, transformers blew, firefighters are trying to put out “vegetation fires” all over. This blows.

I collect most of my books by buying them at half off or less at used book stores, but in my time of collecting I’ve found some sick finds! This is one small portion of the collection but I have some great books here: Cuphead, Diablo, Monster Hunter, Tangled, Heracles, The Haunted Mansion and more.

There’s no rhyme or reason to some of these shelves. It’s mostly what I can fit. Large books go with large books, smaller books go with smaller books.

I found the Pokemon card game illustration collection a while ago. There is some great Pokémon art in this book.

Frank Frazetta books are so hard to find. I always jump at the chance when I can get one.

Magic Color Flair, The world of Mary Blair is such a beautiful art book! I highly recommend it if you can find a copy!!

Who doesn’t love Captain K’nuckles and Finn the Human? One of the most beautiful gifts ever given to me by a friend. My friend was the last person in line for signatures at an animation festival and said “hey my friend couldn’t be here. Could you draw him something?” They both agreed. 🙂

Apparently Thurop asked “who’s his favorite character? Can I draw him drunk!?”
Pen said “tell me his name!”
I appreciate so much. Flapjack and Adventure Time mean so much to me and I really appreciate the two of them taking the time to do this for me. 🥹 My friend rules. ❤️

This is a wild one. I was digging through old board games when the found my unopened Adventure Time Munchkin. I forgot that I even bought this. It reminded me that I have an unopened box of card wars as well. 😅 sick find. Where do I even put it!?

Adventure Time Munchkin. I really wanted to play and I don’t know why I never did.

I love me some Adventure Time art. I bet you it’s why I bought it.

What do I do with Card Wars? Am I a hoarder or collector? 😅

Is it time to do a Nickelodeon shelf? One of my biggest issues is Nick never had enough art books for all their great series. Where is Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Rocko, anything!? It’s a shame that they leave so many possible Art books on the table.

Some Nickelodeon books I have. SpongeBob, Ninja Turtles, Invader Zim, plus a few comics.

I love collecting videogame memorabilia. Anything Nintendo and PlayStation is for me. I’m very passionate about finding stuff for my shelf and some friends have even helped out knowing I love collecting.

Be honest. Is this too much? My favorite is honestly that giant Donkey Kong I found at a thrift store, but I honestly have a bunch of fun stuff on here.

This Sophitia was at a used game store for only $10 because she was missing her sword. Good thing I had a Finn the human sword hanging around.

Fun fact: Mario is my favorite videogame character and I can’t explain why. Some of these Mario’s are from the 80s. I love their silly look.

I found this Kratos at a used game store. I was super excited because I had never seen any God of War statues at the time. I have no idea if it was from and exclusive edition but I got him for $10. I think game stores know I’m a sucker for cheap merch.

Finally got my hands on a book that I’ve wanted for so long. Tal’dorei was my intro into Dungeons and Dragons back when I listened to Vox Machina. It truly means a lot to me. Ever since they released “Reborn” I wanted to get my hands on a physical copy. Now I can DM in my favorite continent!

This slaps! Look at this piece of art. 😭😭😭

Exandria and all her lore was my intro to DnD 5e and Matthew Mercer was my teacher. I worked a job that allowed me time to listen to podcasts for the entire shift but I didn’t know what to listen to. My friend who recommended me campaign 1 of Critical Role and I didn’t realize it would change me so much. It taught me how to play and how to DM a campaign. I learned how to listen to the players and allow them to tell the story. Exandria and Tal’dorei mean so much to me and I’m excited to share it with my friends.

I have a shelf dedicated to Cartoon Network, but I think I want more. Where’s an art of Dexters Lab or Johnny Bravo? What about Cow and Chicken, Powerpuff Girls, or Samurai Jack!? There’s so much potential for these books to exist and I think the people want them! Maybe it’s just me… 😅

Art of Regular Show is a fantastic book. Highly recommend if you can get your hands on it.

The art from Steven Universe is incredible. Absolutely outstanding to look at.

My favorite art book. The Art of Ooo Adventure time. I love all the art in this book.

Hello Dungeons and Dragons 5e fans! Has anyone ever heard of Epic Encounters from Steamforged Games? My Caverns of the Frost Giant showed up today and the Giant is massive! It’s a whopping 100mm and covered in wild detail! I’m adding to my collection of Epic Encounters.

Look at this guy next to standard size player characters.

The detail on this guy is Wild! The box also comes with a double sided play mat, enemy counters, and a book full of stats.

The collection grows, protected by a tiny Vecna.

This is one of the coolest finds! Highly recommend this book for any DM who wants to add some sick flair to their game.

I can’t believe I found Grim Hallow in the wild. A bunch of adventures to run. Great if you are ever in need of a game night and somewhere to start.

I’ve known people that get upset about gay characters, orcs not being evil, hags “allowed” to be men, 5e being too “easy”, small characters being too strong, women being too strong, stats not being specific to each species. Y’all, it’s an imaginary world that you make up with your friends. Chill.
