The Crocosmia Lucifer really come into its own as we head deeper into Summer. Can be thuggish and rhizomes need lifting and dividing but a lovely punchy display. #garden #gardening #flowers #spring #summer #ukgardens #biodiversity #pollinators #gardens #bees #plants #gardenersworld

Love the delicate flowers of the Rosa Rugosa…but it can be thuggish, putting out runners. Considered invasive in the UK and not to be let loose in the wild. #garden #gardening #flowers #spring #ukgardens #biodiversity #pollinators #gardens #bees #plants #gardenersworld

Dandelion head. Yes it’s a weed. But the flowers are great for pollinators and can we please admire the structure of the seed head! I still dig them out my flower beds! #garden #gardening #flowers #spring #ukgardens #biodiversity #pollinators #gardens #bees #plants #gardenersworld

I love the bright yellow flowers of the lesser celandine. Early flowering UK native wildflower, great for pollinators. Can spread but it’s gone by May as other plants take over. #garden #gardening #flowers #spring #ukgardens #wildflower #pollinators #gardens #bees #plants #gardenersworld

For the first time in the UK, the rare and endangered Pseudohydrosme gabunensis from Gabon will bloom on display. Much like the famous Titan Arum, this elusive plant only flowers for a short time - but every bloom is a rare and important moment for conservation. Stay tuned for updates 🌿👀
Plant on display with a handwritten say saying that it's a 'Kew Highlight' and that it's the first time flowering in the UK. Surrounding the plant you can see some other plants in pots. The flower remains tightly wrapped, showing its pale green, elongated spathe with a smooth texture. In a large black pot and surrounded by a black backdrop.

Sunshine on the red stemmed Cornus (Dogwood). A good all round plant, structurally, but also offering blooms of white flowers and red stems that give a pop of colour in the grey winter. #garden #gardening #flowers #spring #ukgardens #biodiversity #pollinators #gardens #bees #plants #gardenersworld

The first flowers of the Magnolia x Loebneri are starting to unfold. A perfect tree for a small garden like mine. It’s a slow grower but in 10 years I should be sitting under the shade of a 2 to 3 metre tree. #garden #gardening #flowers #spring #ukgardens #biodiversity #pollinators #gardens #bees

The RHS Bridgewater in North West England is always an inspirational place to visit. As the RHS’s newest garden, it is still relatively young but I enjoy seeing how it is developing and maturing. The Glasshouses in the walled gardens are fabulous & so lovely to have them to myself.
