Depending on the state and local laws, some areas (like mine) an e bike user on a road (or any state property like a state park) has to be 16. That said, they still need to use traffic rules. These kids are pulling out in front of people, running stop signs, all at the speed of 20mph or more

Sometimes I play this game called, "Where did my late husband put this thing I'm looking for". I say outloud, "hey, so, could you pull some spiritual strings, possess me for a sec and help me find it please?" It took me EIGHTEEN MONTHS to find the car titles 😅 but at least I found them.

I had a history teacher in highschool who was instrumental in my early understanding the mid east and I still honestly can't believe he was allowed to teach the subject or didn't get in trouble. He was like, "you've heard of Judaism, you've heard of Christianity, but what do you know about Islam?"

I was only 13 when 9/11 happened but in rural US where ppl were already v racist, there was a new group to hate and it was v intense. Most of us had never met anyone from Asia or the MidEast.

My kids have highschool volunteers in their elementary school and I'm always so confused as to who they are talking about because the highschoolers seem like grown ups to them.

😂 10 years ago I was a supervisor at a retail chain and I was talking about maternity leave and a cashier straight out of highschool was like, "You're too young to have a baby." I say "I'm old enough to be married 🤷‍♀️ *shows ring*" She's like, "YOU'RE MARRIED?" I'm like, "Ma'am, I'm 27!?!?"

I think using humor is a coping mechanism for some. I joke about being a widow even though it's really not funny. It's different though if it's someone who experienced it, or a New Yorker is joking about it vs someone who didn't/isn't.

I'm not a huge fan of St Pat's day even though I love Irish lore. It's just so commercialized and tacky most of the time. And I don't think a lot of Irish Americans are knowledgeable about the struggles Ireland has been through to be truly respectful.
