The profile banner has been updated and it's time for me to leave you alone and go back to bed. The chart shows going back to 2013 will all remain on Mixcloud for another few weeks, and then it'll just be the last few years again. Have a happy eleven months and I'll see you in November.

Check out who voted for them here and there's a whole new bunch of follows for you!

I think most people either heard them first through social media or possibly at gigs. BlueSky has an active music community sharing a lot of new music and lots of them vote here. I first heard them thru online posts from record shops and music sites. Their performance here was def a surprise tho.

Wait, are you “real music” ing us?!?

The Festive 50 @thefestive50.bsky.social · 22/12/2025

It’s a fair comment. Aside from the occasional Welsh language track I’m not sure if there’s been any others. The format probably doesn’t help. Plenty non-English tracks get votes but need 4 or 5 to get in. For something like PPP a single vote gets it heard and then the consensus builds from there.

Cheers Chris. Big Thief were truly robbed. 10th highest overall vote but no tracks in the 50. Hope you have a good Christmas.

So there you go. Spare a thought for The Cords who lead from the 4th vote until the 4th last vote at about 9pm on the last day.
