Republicans are saying Target’s Pride merchandise is why they had a poor third quarter Except… this year Target barely even had anything. It was so scaled down it was practically nonexistent. It wasn’t even available in most stores. Republicans are in “blame everything” on queer people mode.

There is a push among some orgs, "moderate" legislators, and even trans people to "give up the sports issue" in hopes that will stop hate. I have watched moderates try this in 23 state houses. It doesn't work. There is no amount of give you can offer that will stop them from taking.

thinking about the part in watership down where some rabbits worship a hunter because he feeds them sometimes and the rabbits become domesticated, apathetic and cynical and refuse to talk about those killed by the hunter and become violent when questioned about it
