A nice gathering of nebulae and stars in the Auriga region, including The Flaming Star, Tadpoles, Spider, and Fly nebulae, plus the Starfish Cluster. This was around six and a half hours of data with a OSC camera and narrowband filter. #astronomy #astrophotography #photography #astro #space
Colour deep space photo of various red and yellow nebulae, pkus some stars and star clusters.

An astrolandscape shot from when I was exploring Kazakhstan (Almaty region) back in the summer. #astro #astronomy #landscape #astrophotography #landscapephotography #photography #kazakhstan
A blueish monochromatic image of a lake surrounded by mountains. The core of the Milky Way stretches across the night sky, from the top left to the bottom right. The image has a serene quality to it.

I did a quick re-edit of a very old photo from over a decade ago. This image of a fisherman with his cormorants was taken in Southern China during the morning blue hour. It was very early, and incredibly humid! #photography #art #landscapephotography #travel #travelphotography #landscape #china
A Chinese fisherman stands on a small raft in a river, along side four cormorants, all reflected in the water. The background is a series of pointy karst mountains with clouds around the base. The whole scene is blue due to the morning twilight.

The wild horses near Cappadocia in Turkey with a beautiful stratovolcano in the background. It took me a long time shooting and several thousand shots to capture this scene. Other photographers can relate! #landscape #photography #landscapephotography #wildlife #turkey #nature #naturephotography
A group of dark brown horses run through the scene from right to left, with a gorgeous snow-capped volcano in the background. In the immediate forground right at the centre of the scene is one white horse. The light from the setting sun illuminates everything from the right-hand side.

This was my second attempt at my favourite galaxy to image - The Triangulum Galaxy (M33). This had a total integration time of 7 hours and 30 mins over one evening. Feel free to like it and share it if it's your thing. No worries if not! #astronomy #astrophotography #astro #photography #space
Photograph of the Triangulum galaxy - a spiral galaxy surrounded by stars and some tiny pinkish nebulae.

One of the most surreal scenes I've ever photographed! Any guesses as to where this is?! #art #landscape #photography #landscapephotography #travel #travelphotography
A ruined 2-storey building stands slightly toppled over, completely surrounded by water in the ocean.

One of my favourite shots from Morocco. Taken when I was on a hotel shoot in the Sahara, around Merzouga. #art #landscape #photography #landscapephotography #naturephotography #morocco
A lone tree stands in the desert, surrounded by tall sand dunes. The sun is behind it, just about to set.

Close-up of the Elephant's Trunk Nebula in Cepheus. #astro #astronomy #astrophotography #photography
A yellow and orange cloud of dust and gas forming a shape akin to an elephant's trunk against a blue background. Lots of tiny stars are scattered around.

A break in the clouds shows Leah Peak above the famous boathouse in Maligne Lake, Alberta, Canada. #landscapephotography #landscape #photography #canada #winter
A pale yellow boathouse with red trim and fencing sits reflected on a lake. The scene is covered in snow, with a forest behind the lake and a mountain peak just about showing between the parting clouds.

For my astronomy friends, here is my first attempt at the Seagull Nebula between Monoceros and Canis Major. #astro #astronomy #astrophotography #photography
An intersteller cloud of dust and gas which resembles a bird with outstretched wings. The main body of the bird appears in a yellow-orange colour and the 'feathery' parts of the wings have a faint blue colour. Stars cover the entire image.

Here is my first attempt at shooting the Cygnus Wall in the North America Nebula. It's a region of very active star formation. It is 75 x 5 minutes exposures, giving a total integration time of 6 hours and 15 mins. #astronomy #astrophotography #photography
A colour photograph of the Cygnus Wall, part of the North America Nebula. It's a collection of dust and gas, shown as blue and yellow clouds, with some dark clouds covering it.

Hey #BookSky💙📚! I've never read any Richard Osman books before and I thought I'd finally give them a go. I have these two, but I was wondering if there's a better one to start with? #books #reading #ilovebooks

Just finished reading this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Light-hearted comedy mystery. I'm pleased to know that there's a sequel coming out in April! #BookSky💙📚 #books #reading #ilovebooks
Book cover for Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Sutanto. The cover is blue with a cup of tea in the top right corner. Floating in the tea is a faint skull shape. The tagline is, "Solving a mystery isn't everyone's cup of tea..."

I thought I'd use here to also showcase my love of space and space photography. This is the famous Horsehead and Flame nebulae in the Orion constellation. I think this was around 3 hours of integration time with an ASI2600MC and WO Z73 scope. Enjoy! #space #astronomy #astrophotography #photography
A photo of deep space showing a vivid red curtain of dust and gas. Framed against this is a dark cloud of gas that resembles a horse's head, although I think it looks more like a seahorse. Next to this is an orange nebula that looks like a brain on fire. The whole scene is covered in stars, including several large blue ones. It's really difficult to describe space photos!

Moon Tower My first post here! One of my favourite images from last year, when I took a trip to San Marino. By complete coincidence, this happened to be during a medieval festival, so one of the famous towers was open late, allowing me to get this viewpoint at sunset! #photography #travel
The moon rises during a pink sunset behind a gorgeous medieval tower on top of a mountain. Rolling hills are seen in the background, dotted with tiny Italian and Sammarinese villages.
