Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 11/02/2026True Fact: Having completed two 200km filming days, Williams has logged about 100km more than Aston Martin before Bahrain testing. 010
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 05/02/2026Yeah, every team that has released a spec sheet so far has listed their interpretation of the minimum weight (either 770, 772, without or without the 0.4kg deviation for tyres), including Williams. We just don’t know. 010
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026JV hasn’t said anything as far as I know, but the (allegedly real) FW48 spec sheet is circulating among some paddock journos and it lists the weight as 772.4 kg (minimum weight for quali in regs + tyres). Many people have been using 768 kg as the minimum weight number, so that’s where 4.4 comes from 010
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026There are a lot of advantages to having a pull-rod front, but one major disadvantage is it’s harder to access the mechanical components to make set-up changes. This could hamper Williams in testing when trying to experiment with different set-ups quickly, but if it worked for the last 4 WCC cars… 🤷 010
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026I do wonder if Williams took inspiration from McLaren 2025 MCL39 and/or RBR’s 2022-2025 cars for the pull rod front / push rod rear design. On the other hand, JV implied they’re doing radical new things with the suspension, so who knows. 120
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026Some interesting things the FW48 spec sheet (if real) does tell us: - Pull-rod front suspension, reversal from FW47. Cadillac & maybe Alpine also pull-rod front at shakedown - Push-rod rear suspension, same as FW47. Every other team EXCEPT Cadillac & maybe Alpine also push-rod rear at shakedown 220
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026The way I broke my X boycott because I am weak in the face of opportunities to correct rampant misinformation 😔 100
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026The weight on that spec sheet is the minimum weight (for quali, with tyres). The 768kg number that was going around was based on it being 30kg less than the previous regs, but if you read the actual regs, it’s 726kg + tyres (Pirelli dry = 46.4 kg full set). … So it’s probably not the real weight 😔 110
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026To be clear, I’m not saying the FW48 is probably 30kg overweight. I’m just saying the spec sheet being circulated doesn’t tell us a whole lot about the final weight. The reported 772.4kg is the minimum weight for qualifying (including Pirelli dry tyre weight). 010

Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 03/02/2026Seeing a lot of fans get excited at the weight on the spec sheet. I’m not claiming to know (or even guess at) anything about the real weight of the FW48, but reality check for Williams fans: The February 2024 spec sheet for the very overweight FW46 reported the then-minimum weight of 798kg. 230
Lynne 🛞 🦄 @thef155.bsky.social · 02/02/2026As I’ve always said, the most important part of the Carlos Sainz Effect isn’t even that his arrival coincides with his new team improving, it’s that his departure coincides with his old team’s decline.
