Today the sun will shine a little bit higher in our state because people like Russell Laffitte, who seek to victimize the vulnerable and the weak, must pay for their crimes.

We’re doing this, not only for themselves but on behalf of their mother and brother who died in the auto accident which gave rise to the crimes committed against them.

The Plylers are courageous young women who were willing to tell their stories about how they were victimized and exploited by Russell Laffitte and his co-conspirator Alex Murdaugh.

They are grateful for the tenacity and drive of both the state and federal governments to make sure that Laffitte is held accountable for his crimes.

My clients, the Plyler sisters, do not relish in Laffitte’s downfall and his newfound willingness to plead guilty to the charges brought against him which he fight many years to disprove. They were prepared to give their testimony against him in the new trial.

Yesterday’s plea of guilt reaffirms the notion that you cannot outrun justice. It will always catch up to you and win in the end.

These charges stem from his role as conservator for a number of Alex Murdaugh’s former clients, including my clients, Alania and Hannah Plyler, when they were young children, following the tragic loss of their mother and brother and a significant automobile rollover case.

Yesterday, the United States District Attorney for South Carolina and Russell Laffitte reached a plea agreement where Laffitte will plead guilty to several counts of bank fraud and money laundering.

Yesterday in a speech from Mara Lago Trump just flat out lied about Ukraine and it showed how he feels about Ukraine. Look it up. He said Ukraine “started the war“ with Russia. You can’t rewrite history.

He’s a five tool player. Haven’t seen it since someone like Larry Bird. He can shoot, score, pass, play defense, and rebound. He is fun to watch and Duke blew out UNC last night.

They will need a real center. Something must’ve gone wrong in Dallas, where they were willing to get rid of Luka who is young. Cooper flag for Duke is the most mature and developed player. I think Duke has ever had. He’s clearly the number one pick in the draft and will be a generational talent.

When Anthony Davis is healthy and on, he’s unstoppable. But so is Luka Dončić Luca has had a couple injuries the past two seasons but he is clearly the most explosive scorer and player in the NBA. Lakers are not done. They’re gonna have to get another big man to play with LeBron and Luka.

Woke up this morning and am absolutely stunned by the most surprising trade in NBA history. Lakers acquire Luka Dončić in a trade for Anthony Davis to the Mavericks. Dallas may have won the trade for the Now, but the Lakers definitely got the best of it for the future.

They are nothing but criminals. So instead of the conversation being about the inauguration today, the talk is about the mass pardons given to the January 6 rioters. Not withstanding, I do agree with some of the executive orders that Trump signed yesterday. EB

Just look at the videos and a significant portion of those people were not peaceful protesters, it was not a day of love and they are not hostages.

He also contradicted his attorney general nominee Pam Bondi, who said in her hearing last week that the violent protesters would not be pardoned. Trump let out all of the proud boys and oath keepers who are now his private militia who have gotten the message going forward that he has their backs.

He cut the legs off of vice president Vance, who said just last week that they would only pardon the non-violent offenders And that they would not pardon those that are charged and convicted of violent crimes in attacking the capital and the capital police officers.

Finally, the mass pardons of everyone involved with the January 6 riots was disgraceful by Trump. He went back on his word where he said they would look at it on a conversation, case by case basis.

Musk doesn’t share the limelight with anyone and doesn’t let anyone in his sandbox. You saw that the tech Bros , musk, Cook, Zuckerman and Bezos had front row seats at the inauguration in front of his cabinet appointments and other politicians. That spoke volumes on who has his ear.
