I do think what Vladdy said was a bad quote. I understand why people are upset. But I’m not ready to interpret it as evidence that Vladdy doesn’t care or has checked out. Let’s see what he says today and re-evaluate. The firestorm is a bit much in my opinion.

To me Vladdy sounds less like a player who doesn’t care and more like a player trying to separate his self worth from the pressure of a $500M contract. That might actually be a useful mindset for him going forward. He doesn’t need to prove he’s worth $500M every single night. He needs to be Vladdy.
